I thought I explained wanting to play chess earlier just fine. I guess I'll elaborate incase LQ or anyone else would like to try to use chess as a way to get an idea of someone's personality in order to use meta to read players in the future.

I definitely think how we play games can reflect how we are in other areas of our lives.

I'd say chess is a decent one for me. I competed in it for years, and it did somewhat fit with my personality. I like to understand things more than just doing what works, and if I still see a chance at winning, I generally keep fighting. I like thinking three or four steps ahead and offer little trades for the opponent on purpose that lets me outmaneuver their board. One can reasonably infer that I'm the kind of player that doesn't go by the book. They can also infer that I tend to have exceptional reads since I'm always thinking about all the possible ways scum may try to manipulate and mislead town in order to gain control of the game state.

Here are a few play styles that I feel can tell you how someone thinks and even who they are to an extent:

The Solid Player:

Very patient. Minimizes risk and creates few weaknesses. Expands gradually, and waits for an opportunity to take advantage of his or her opponent’s mistakes.

The Warrior:

Willing to take risks. Always looking for a way to seize the initiative. His or her favorite way to win is by sacrificing pawns or pieces and checkmating the king.

The Artist:

If leading wagons are on town there is no reason to control anything of the gamestate or push any mislynch. Passivity is what follows from complacency and boredom.

Yes there is, as scum you need constantly maintain control of the gamestate and be active to achieve said mislynches. There are times where you don't need to do the latter due to town just eating themselves alive but at some point you run the risk of town finding each other, forming a town block naturally, and coming to the conclusion that you're scum through PoE.

Wondering whether or not Transcend is a VI is fair given how he can come off to players unfamiliar with him. I can see town doing it out of fustration and scum doing it to discredit him. At the time of 1243, I was explaining to Transcend how shitty posts aren't AI. It was clear I was stating that it could come from either alignment and not just town. My question that was quoted in that same post was also an attempt to get people on the wagon to think for a minute for those that view shitty posting as AI. How LQ suddenly assumed I changed my stance on shitty content in less than 10 posts is beyond me.

1246 is more alarming to me as again I never pushed JJ. I talked about why I scum read him and joined Zach in hopes people came around but I never actively pushed for him to be lynched.
