the only issue I had with DN's wagon analysis is saying "x town y scum" based on literally nothing, but it's basically the same thing as when people pick a random number of players and say "there's a scum in there!" and that in practice is a null tell even though it's lazy and bad.

Hey guys I'm the fucking worst. I've had a chain of LA/No Internet/LA the last few weeks and since the average post density is so high and I was reading everything on my phone I kept saying "eh I'll deal with this later"

I hate to promise content, but I super duper promise with a cherry on top that I will start participating fully tomorrow (Monday). think Venmar/Varsoon are prooooooooobably town since neither died. I'd expect one to kill the other so they could be the loudest voice and no one would really care.

Also recall that multiball setups are balanced around the possibility of crosskill. In a setup like this, crosskill is basically endgame for either scumteam. I also think enough people acted alignment informed yesterday that we can reasonably assume the scumteam, whoever they are, is not genuinely scumhunting.

Okay I wanted to get that down before I reread Day 2. Super sorry for the double post, won't happen again hopefully. I've gotten so used to slamming down a bunch of short posts.

After rereading I have three observations:

1. I am 100% behind Venmar using his global roleblock last night. I dunno about everyone else's roles (please do not confirm, obviously) but for mine I can't use my other two before I use my "negative" ability. I'm assuming Venmar's works the same way, and was gambling that it would prevent scum from using their cool abilities until later.
2. Math's VCA nonsense looks to me like scum trying to hide behind "objective" information ala Titus etc. and I hate it and want it to die. Doesn't help that he's had a lot of obfuscated garbage posts.
3. When the fuck did Cooldog turn into a serious player?

Disagree. I think in terms of making best use of town abilities, it gives more information to town power roles (thus allowing better coordination and accuracy) and gives us the potential to get rid of one (possibly two, in the case of an SK) member(s) of the scum team before they get access to their better abilities. Don't see how that is "outright worse".

But to expand: I can't really think of much of a town motivation to want to talk about townreads at this stage of the game, but I can think of plenty of scum motivations to do so. As town, we want to figure out who to lynch TODAY and knowing who is reading who as town is not going to help us do that. Scum, on the other hand, could really use that information to know who they can trust to bring them across the finish line. I think it's bullshit deckchair-on-the-Titanic talking when what we need to do is go for the folks we think are scum instead of figure out who thinks who is town. You're already doing so, clearly, and that is the kind of reason why you are a strong townread from most players.
