Hi.
So I had a chat with jjh and we decided that the best action to take here is to just call the game abandoned.

The reason why we want to abandon it is for a few reasons
1. By the looks of things, people aren't having fun and wanting to replace out, and finding replacements for this game is really hard. Also the late day start and lack of events probably just contributed to the game being dead to the point where its just not fun anymore. The game itself is too hard to run to just give it to someone else.
2. jjh's schedule was adjusted to a schedule that made it difficult to mod the game. This was why Night 2 was so long, jjh is the one in charge of processing the actions because he's better then me at that when I do not have a spreadsheet made for the game. I trusted him with processing the actions for the game (I'm the one who posted the votecounts) as as a result of his shift in schedule, it was difficult for him to actually resolve the actions.
- Not to mention there was STILL a mod error. In Feminist's Blocc's role PM, a role that was designed by me and jjh had like a general idea of what it did but not the small details, as a result of pine dieing, that flip was supposed to be janitored. It wasn't. Also during D1, jjh just didn't know that Datisi was supposed to have an advantage during events.
3. I lost interest in modding the game. During D1, it was tough to mod events as well as Furret's Bizarre Adventure part 2. It was even hard to keep up flavor for that game because of this game. A bit afterwards, my hobbies changed and around Night 2, I wanted to get back into competative Team Fortress 2 because that started to become fun again.

These were one of the types of games that basically grew my cult following as a mod. I ran this game with these mechanics 3 times.

I expanded upon it in a mini
both of the above were ran smoothly and the mini was just as complex as this game. the micro was the simplest version of this game's mechanics.

I modded another one around when my TM game ended and that didn't even end up going well either, I missed several events I was supposed to do and had trouble wanting to continue modding the game because of poor mental health and scheduling.
The reason why I wanted to mod it again is to try to bring something that was very popular back in the day when I was popular as a mod, to an audience today, so they got to experience it.

which leads into my next point:
lolbalance games do not work.
Simply put, because they rely on these super complicated roles as the main identity of the game, you are making a game that is VERY hard to effectively mod.
Part of why I came up with spreadsheets is to try making these games easier to run.
As a game, they are too hard to effectively mod. And as a mod, you should not be designing games like this. Even if you think you can do them, you can't. They're just hard and there's so many working parts that we don't even want to hand this game to someone who wants COULD run it, the fuck ups can ONLY increase when you do that.

Simply put, I wanted to mod a game but did not setup the conditions to mod that game succesfully.
- I did not create a spreadsheet to run the game with, which is something that I told myself back in 2017 after running this game was something that I would ALWAYS do.
- I ran a game with 8 day deadlines, knowing that it was very possible for me to just not want to run it anymore mid way. The past few games I modded had short deadlines and that isn't just because I think short deadlines can be fun, its also because I need short deadlines to make sure I don't abandon the fucking game. Believe it or not, this was NOT the first game I had to abandon, but the 2nd. The first game I had to abandon was a very complicated Yugioh uPick with very complicated mechanics. It was ran on 451. I stopped wanting to run that game because by the time night came around, I was getting stressed out by rl scheduling, mental health issues, and I had fucking LLD yelling at me saying I designed a shit game, which demotivated me. jjh was actually the person I told to clean up that mess and he declared the game abandoned because no one wanted to play it anymore.
- I tried to put too much on my plate and as a result I just got burnt out.

Anyhow, we'll roll out PTs and Role PMs later today.

These games ARE an absolute nightmare not only to mod but also to design and I lost my knack for designing them a long time ago (which is why jjh helped me out with design, because he played in the games, he knew what made them special, and we could both easily bring the experience to the MS players of 2020 who weren't around to experience these games).

However part of it is also I'm just not disciplined enough to run it.
I don't know about jjh, but I feel like I could have modded the game better, but I took no steps to mod the game better.
