hmmmm... I have NEVER seen a Governor be able to save themselves from lynch. In-fact, I don't recall ANY power roles that can use their power on themselves such as cop, doc, tracker etc.

whats so scary about a governor anyways? Only bad scenario I can think of is that a scum governor is unlynchable in lylo. Conversely, a town governor is only really helpful in lylo as far as I can tell.

If its a role everyone is really so worried about being scum, being an open setup, at anytime you guys can ask me to use it on myself (or any other player) and take the role out of consideration.

As scum, its a dangerous role. VERY Dangerous, but since you are only one shot it is not quite so bad IF you are scum. I recently ran a large theme with a scum Governor and it really did not turn out too well.

Thats not how I have ever seen it (not to say its used that way) The way I have seen (and as mod used) is that the Governor can pardon the lynch once a lynch is reached, but he only has a certain time (12-24hours) to inform the mod he does not want the lynch to happen. But his power can only be used in the twilight phase after the day has ended.. in my own experience this is.

quick post before i pass out drunk. upon thinking about it tonight, I am thinking there is maybe too much talking about the Governor and too much focus on it and what it could/could not do and not who could be scum. I think you are not fully understanding what RVS is. It is basically voting someone without reasoning and usually add a humorous comment after as the person being voted is voted randomly by looking at the player list.

your vote was not random, you were voting for a role you did not like the sound off (in scum as you say)... that is not random. You had reasoning behind it

No, I don't use Random.org, as I said. I just randomly pick someone from the player list and make a humorous comment on them that can be tied into the game somehow. Random vote stage is voting someone without reason or intent on a lynch target. It was clear you did and therefor not random.

/theory/ Govoner can stop town mislynches.. scum does not like that as it does not dwindle down the numbers quite as much and town is one player better off the next day.

Scum wants to get rid of town ASAP... so targetting the role that can stop town mislynches is paramount to a scum strategy to win I feel

To answer an earlier question.

When you said you had played with Hiraki before, Nintendo and you saw him as town because of those games (or something along those lines) I thought it would be a good opertunity to see if Hiraki was playing the same as he was in both those games. That was my origional plan HOWEVER after you linked them and I saw you were scum I wanted you to give your town reads and compare them to your town reads as scum and see if you declared them town.

However, you gave up two scum buddies and only one as town, so my theory was out the window on getting that meta from you.

I was wrong yes. I admit that, hell the scene confirms I was wrong. I shot who I believed was the scummiest player day 1 and I feel my shot was justified. Just because you 'knew' he was town does not mean anything. thats the thing about Mafia, Reck. people have different opinions on things. Mine was he was scum.

Well the problem is, in Lynch or Lose, and you are scum, and your partner gets lynched, you can stop it and kill in night to win the game. that is the issue and why I was asking about it. I ran a scum govoner in a game and it caused a lot of confusion to people. He was lynched early though and could not stop his own lynch, in fact I have never seen one that could stop his own, but shrug not going to even try outguessing mod.

Also, usually a Governor using his power does end the day, just with no lynch as a lynch has been reached. At least in my experience

back from V/LA. I don't see it as a coincidence that the 2 people that Reck talks to at night (neighbors with) both die ..... is he getting info and then killing them from what he learns talking to them? add that to his trolling for the most part.

Alright, mistakes happen and I am not going to cry about it, it was a good game. HOWEVER..Umbridge, to say Rhino had all day to govern is wrong, it can only be used after a lynch. As backup mod, you really should know the roles that are in the game and how they work.

With that said, good game everyone. I totally sucked and I am sorry. I tunneled Nintendo but I had good reason I felt, I shot him and was wrong.
