Yeah, there won't be a claim from me any time soon. So I'll start searching for scum cause that's my primary role.
I'd say that putting me at -1 is nearly as scummy as demanding a hammer on this particular wagon. Whether it's joking or not, Glork knows that there's more than likely some bloodthirsty tard, town or scum, willing to do the funny thing to get attention. And in this case, off someone who's actually somewhat decent at finding scum.

Glork, your blatant misrepresentation is noted. I didn't vote you for your vote, I voted you for your actions after the vote. Thus, it's not an OMGUS vote and you're being intentionally evasive, trying to make light in the face of your scumminess.
What do you actually think of my vote on you? What do you think of this wagon? I'd like you on the record for tomorrow in the off chance that some mouthbreather lynches me now.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

I'll also note that at the time of my vote on you, eleven people had posted. Eight had voted me, two had not, and one was the mod.Glork wrote:Also, your vote is in fact OMGUSy in nature... it's a reaction to the fact that I asked someone to kill you. "You say you want me dead so I'm going to vote for you" is OMGUS any way you look at it.
The two who didn't vote for me voted for Phoebus for joke/random reasons, and I wasn't about to vote the mod, so every other nonrandom vote choice available to me would have resulted in an OMGUS vote in the way you define it.
Therefore, your painting of my vote on you as OMGUS is:
1) meaningless
2) inflammatory
3) deceptive and/or careless
You've made it clear that hammering in that situation is something you condone, yet you are watching other players for that behavior. You encouraged it knowing it was entirely likely to happen, knowing full well the result would be bad for town. And you claimed to be watching for responses, yet given the multitude of wagon-hoppers you chose to joke vote one of the few people not to hop the wagon.
It's fine if your advertised day one/two style is manic--that is, if town doesn't mind you hiding your anti-town play amidst a forest of meaningless trees.

Clearly that theory that klebian was sucking up would require him to be:Glork wrote:One more thing.... please, MBL, explain to me how you can "smell a suckup" out of Klebian and think that I'm scum at the same time.
1) a bad player
2) a member of a different scumteam than you
3) a serial killer
4) scum while you're town
Any are possible, I just noted the oddness of the klebian QFT post and it looks like Sarc agreed.
As for your behavior, Glork, it was clearly anti-town but it remains to be seen whether that was malicious or careless.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Nightson, jokes on their own aren't scummy, but when a pattern emerges from them, or if it's all someone does, it's fair to draw some conclusions. You don't want to find Glork scummy, and you're cracking repeated jokes to try to sneak that point across to the town subtly.
Actually, you simply voted STD and typed a <3, so I'm not sure that should have been interpreted by anyone to mean jack. It looks like just another joke.Nightson wrote:Not my fault nobody decided to comment on my vote on StD.
This looks a lot like Glork's "why is everyone attacking me for things that could be scummy it's my schtick" schtick. If it's just discussion, why get defensive about it?Nightson wrote:In my book the most important thing Day 1 is discussion and whether it comes about through people being serious or people reacting to non-serious content it's all discussion.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

I dunno, when someone feels the need to remind me a) that jokes aren't scummy and then b) that joking around d1 isn't scummy if it spawns any type of discussion, I see that as an extreme reaction to a tiny amount of suspicion. Plenty of scum pop into a defensive mindset earlier than townies because they know their opponents aren't scum.
I understand that scum like you aren't looking for such fine distinctions, Glork, and would therefore make light of other people's observations of hyperdefensiveness.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

See, it's only pressure if there's an apparent reason there. Otherwise, your vote exerts no more leverage than a random vote. In fact, an unreasoned vote actually SIPHONS pressure from its target because it makes other people look at the voter more closely than the votee.inHimshallibe wrote:I do like the way you try and dismiss my pressure on you by simply saying "Oh, it's inHim's thing."
Can the people not voting or still random voting please elaborate some suspicions, or at least comment on the two mini-wagons we've got going? Thanks.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Yeah, you posted:Glork wrote:I've already explained my stance... a little bit of both.
Good question, though. I'd also like to know why other people wagoned MBL.
after all I'd posted was:Glork wrote:HAMMAH HAMMAH!!!
It's easy to explain away as just joking around and having fun, but it was also significantly likely that I'd be hammered there and town would be -1. Far be it for me to rain on the fun parade though--I think we should run Glork up for kicks, but this wagon will have an actual reason behind it.MBL wrote:Hi.

So you figured you'd gain enough information via the comedy quicklynch to make up for the numerical disadvantage? Sounds like a recipe for a quick loss to me, because idiot town's probably more likely to hammer in that situation than scum. Kill the hammerer tomorrow, BAM, down 4-5 town start of D3.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

OK, so the point is confirmed. Several of you enthusiastically and realistically risked putting town down one player for kicks. It's not the world's greatest scumtell, but it's significant.
InHim, why aren't you pushing the birdwagon to completion? For the sake of information.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Here.
This should be simple. The odds that no scum have piled/are piling on me is ridiculously slim. Pick the scummiest one who's piled on and lynch them. Right now, that looks like inHim, but I need to smell-test the original wagon again.
Glork wants to lynch one of the two people voting for him right now. How convenient. Glork, you're uncomfortable with inhim's behavior. How comfortable are you with your vote on me knowing he cheerily piled on top of it?
OK then, Glork, would you take a stab at sorting out good from bad apples that plopped onto the birdwagon? Also, why didn't you see my wagon as scum-driven? What's the fundamental difference between it and the birdwagon that allows you to reach that conclusion?Glork wrote:I still see this wagon as being scum-driven. I'm trying to point out that you don't have a plan, you're just going for what you think is an easy lynch. If you had a plan, you'd be able to state clearly why I'm the best information-gaining lynch. "Because if you're scum MBL then X, Y and Z look suspicious and if not then A, B and C do and here's why."Glork wrote:Are you implying that we should all have predispositions to follow certain paths on Day One that we plan on seeing through regardless of how ensuing events unfold.
Instead you're rolling with this nebulous crap argument and I'm trying to pin you down and you're dodging semi-aptly.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

MBL has been out there looking for scum. All alone I might add.
At least until PJ showed up. <3
I'd take a Nightson, Glork or inHim lynch at this point. Their reckless play doesn't really seem to bear a concern in the least for hitting scum instead of town. There are many other people who need to contribute, but they can hide behind the veil of site outages so meh.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Scum probably killed me cause my five suspicions day one were Glork, bird, CES, Nightson, inHim. And they were fairly strong suspicions--Nightson looked REALLY bad.
I left two or three huge clues to my role--saying my job was to search out and find scum. I don't think anyone noticed.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006
