Please note I have added Rule 6.4 to the ruleset for clarification purposes.
6.4 wrote:IV) Each pastry may, unless otherwise told, may be decorated with one 'topping' and may be filled with any number of 'fillings'.
I also corrected the Sample Role PM, changing a color tag and adding 'Townie' to their Role Name."This is the true face of a man who plays paladin."-

There is some confusion regarding 6.4.
These toppings and fillings are 'extra' in the sense that they are not inherent to the pastry you selected. For example, if someone were say, a sugar cookie, they would naturally have sugar. That would not be considered an 'extra' topping/filling as they already have it on account of being a sugar cookie. But if they were to receive a topping of say... Gravy, that would be an extra topping, so to speak. Gravy is not natural in sugar cookies.
Additional Q/A Regarding Toppings/Fillings:
Does mean there is the possibility of fillings/toppings/(abilities) that may be added throughout the game?
Yes. There are ways to acquire fillings/toppings throughout the game that provide abilities/bonuses of some sort!
Are topp/fillings permanent?
Yes.
If I manage to receive a topp/filling, will I gain additional abilities/properties to my role, or will the existing one(s) be modified/improved(/impaired) or either of these?
Both are within the realms of possibility!
Can I get rid of a topp/filling I do not want?
No.
If a player is topped or filled, would that be reflected in his flip?
Yes.
Q/A Regarding Setup Design:
Did you had an outline of the setup before we sent the pastries? Or did you make the setup completely based on them, without any prior idea?
The special mechanics were in place, so there were ideas for roles from that, though there were roles that wrote themselves.
Did everyone get a pastry they requested?
Everyone who requested a pastry received something from their list, or their only choice. Any players who opted to let me select an item received an item chosen by me.
How was alignment determined?
Randomly, courtesy of random.org.Last edited by Andrius on Sun Mar 08, 2015 12:32 pm, edited 5 times in total."This is the true face of a man who plays paladin."-

Andrius Kairys Walker arose shortly before dawn and, after starting the coffee, headed into the bakery to begin his daily routine. The eastern grain fields began igniting with the first rays of sun, and he set to his humble trade. Returning into the kitchen to retrieve his coffee, he climbed the stairs again. He looked in on his sleeping daughters, who were still fast asleep, no doubt dreaming of late spring blossoms. The young German Shepherd pup slept soundly in the center of the room. He smiled, and returned to work.
The town was of moderate size - not too busy to lose its community aspect but not small enough to know everyone that lived therein. Naturally, word of some food-bourn illness travelled fast, especially among his circle. While the breads and vegetables were, as of yet, unaffected, the butcher reported some spoilt meat and there were a small number of cases of serious illness. Despite a lack of fatalities, The Baker of Rye Street had reason to be concerned. He worked diligently until just before seven, when he rotated into the kitchen to prepare the girls' breakfast. The puppy scurried downstairs, eager for attention and a bite of whatever was being prepared.
He overworked himself. He worried too much. 'You'll grow white hair, worrying like you do' she teased. 'Its already going grey' he would reply, gesturing to the right side of his brow where his hair was maturing faster than he had liked. That side was greying when they wed. But he worried. Worried there would not be enough to provide for his daughters. He sighed as he climbed the stairs for breakfast, having set the table for three. Amid cries of morning glee from two bright young girls, pastries stirred down in the bakery. The threat of corruption was not unknown amongst the world of wheat and yeast. The pastry and breaded gentry of Rye Street would simply not have any maladjusted interlopers in their fine baking establishment. Thus it was that while the Walker family sat down for breakfast after a short prayer, the unknown citizens of the bakery assembled for a revival...

The citizens of the bakery had arrived at a consensus. Something seemed malicious about Shadow Dancer. The pastries gathered around him, intent on tossing him into the oven to burn out whatever evil was contained within him. As they approached the entrance to the grand oven, the unthinkable happened.
A crow flew in flew the open window, landing on the countertop. The pastries stopped frozen in their tracks. Horror filled them as a large, sable terror of bread-folk eyed the motley assembly awaiting him. He crooked his head to the side, and noticed that the pastries seemed to be holding one of their number up above the others. He knew not what it meant (for how can crows comprehend the thoughts of food?), but with a couple hops he stooped menacingly over the buffet of pastries that lay before him.
With a yell, Lucy, who walked in from the front room, started shouting at the crow, waving a rolling pin. The crow understood nothing of what the human girl said. He grabbed Shadow Dancer in his beak and flew out the window in a burst of feathers and bread crumbs. Lucy chased him outside, and looked on in dismay as the crow soared across the street and disappeared over the rooftops. The pastries seized the opportunity to return to their places, and Lucy remembered not that the pastries moved, only that one was taken from them.
Running off to find her father, the pastries were left alone.

The Walker Family cleaned up the shop before dinner, and sat down for a brief meal. Lucy lamented the loss of a pastry, but her father reassured her that everything works out for the best. Claire, older than her sister by two years, promised to help bake cupcakes the next day after school let out. Mrs. Reed would have some fresh fruit from the orchard too. Perhaps father could make apple pie! Father agreed. Or blueberry pie, Lucy suggested cheerily. Blueberries were not in season, but one could surely be found for daddy's little girls.
Hours later, the children in bed and the streets sleeping, Andrius sat down in the living room in one of two matching armchairs which were a wedding gift. The other sat empty. She taught him her trade - pastry-making. 'Always bread and muffins with you! Why not cupcakes and cakes?'
As he went to bed the shop too slept, while dreams of sugar plums danced in their heads...

Tuesday began as did Monday. Andrius awoke shortly before dawn, poured himself a mug of coffee, and fired up the ovens. Little did he realize that there were a few pastries that were missing from the display cases. Making sure that the window was fastened, he went on with his morning work. Baskets of wheat bread for the schools, baguettes for the french-style bistro up on the northern hill.
So the morning passed until a knock on his door brought him back from daydreaming of days when the snow crept up to the windows and the newlyweds looked forward to the birth of their first child.
Unlocking the door, he recognized his friend, Krauss, foreman. He had built the house in which the Walkers lived and the whole block from the corner of Pike down to the edge of town.
Following brief courtesies and some laughter regarding the younger man's silvering hair there was a somber note regarding the deteriorating health of one of the villagers who ate of spoilt meat from the butcher shop. Rumor said it was no accident. Rumor said that someone wished the town harm. Andrius shrugged it off, as he always did. He gave Krauss his weekly order, accepted payment, and went upstairs to wake the girls.
The pastries, on the other hand, rallied again in kitchen, angry to the very core of their fluffy being. Two of their number were gone forever. Two stalwards. Their likes, their voices, could never be replaced...

The pastries struggled to find any threats among them for most of the day. Only as the golden beams began pouting through the west did they accostShaft. Made to enter the oven alone, he accepted his fate and allowed his countrymen to cast himself into the maw of fire. As the pastries watched, it was clear to all that he was a loyal son of wheat.
Out on the streets, word was travelling that the foodborne sickness had claimed two lives in the neighboring town downriver. Medical authorities were launching an investigation.
A sterile silence fell over the town as night descended with a cloudless sky...

Rain greeted the kitchen early in the morning as the pastries emerged from their glass cases and gathered near the center table.Nikanorwas missing, and there was little trace of him left behind besides what could only be called a very aged cinammon roll. The pastries eyed each other suspiciously, determination setting in as deep as the flour they were made from.
Lucy skipped through the bakery in the morning, humming to herself. 'Mother loved the rain.' she sad quietly to the empty room. 'I wonder if she has a window.' She gathered her things and departed soon, leaving the pastries, and Andrius, to work.

The rain had not let up. The leak in the back porch dripped consistently into a small bucket, that Claire would collect from time to time and use throughout the house. Balthazar trotted behind at her heel, eager to please.
The pastries were in high spirits, having descended uponxRECKONERx.
'He must be moldy!' cried one of you.
'He may have killed one of us!' wailed another.
RECKONER screamed all the louder, but it was to little avail. The pastries placed him on a ladle and launched him out the open window into the street.
Awaiting the Old Crow, the pastries clumped around the window as RECKONER lay motionless in the street.
Within a matter of minutes, the Old Crow descended and eyed RECKONER with hungry eyes. However, the Old Crow tasted something upon its first nibble - mold. The Old Crow swept the moldy pastry in its beak and deposited it in the sewer grating, to cheers from the pastries.

Rainbow sprinkles littered the table as the pastries gathered. Another of their number had gone in the night. The battle continued as the pastries again rallied to root out corruption in their midst. Sunshine burst forth and the oven roared to life behind them. Baguettes for the bistro, cookies for the school, loaves upon loaves of bread for grocers.
'Why do we leave sprinkles on uncle's grave?' Lucy asked over breakfast.
Andrius' eyes filled with an old sadness that did not escape his older daughter. 'Your uncle loved the simple things. Ham and mayonnaise sandwiches. Mint chocolate chip ice cream with sprinkles. Nothing fancy, only simple.' He paused. 'This is how your grandparents remembered him.'
'And now they too sleep.' Claire whispered.
'But their hearts are awake?' Lucy said softly.
Andrius smiled sadly. 'Their hearts are awake.'

"Daddy!" echoed down the hall, and Andrius looked up from the rolling pin as his girls came sliding into the room.
"Come see what we found!" Lucy giggled, taking his hand and trying to force him up. "Come and see!"
He smiled and let himself be led away upstairs, as the girls leapt ahead of him in joy. They ascended the attic, and his heart seemed to understand before they arrived.
"Look, mommy's wedding dress!" Claire exclaimed! The girls were beaming, and Andrius could not help but smile fondly.
Andrius went forward and took it down from its hanging place, among other things from the day they were joined in holy matrimony.
"We were just looking for the old photo-books grandmother used to make, and we found the wedding things!" Claire said triumphantly.
"We wanted to take one to mommy when we visit next." Lucy chirped.
Andrius kissed her on the head. "There's another surprise in here, buried somewhere." Andrius said, peering into the boxes. "One moment."
The girls waited excitedly to see what treasure remained buried away.
"Aha!" The father exclaimed, retrieving a small white box wrapped in gold ribbon. As he lifted the lid, the girls were greeted by what looked like a small block of white marble wrapped in wax.
Andrius smiled triumphantly. "This is the piece of wedding cake we saved, as was tradition."
The girls looked up at him and back at the little cake sitting in the box.
"Is it still good to eat?" Lucy asked.
"Yes. This is a old-style cake that can preserve for a few years." Andrius broke off a corner and held it out to his eldest daughter. "Here."
After a moment of scrutiny, Claire assented and placed it in her mouth.
"Let it melt in your mouth. It is old, but should still retain most of the flavor. He broke off another chunk for Lucy, giving her a small almond-flavored chunk of cake that looked more like a rock yet tasted divine.
Enjoying a piece for himself, Claire stated simply, "We should take a piece to mother." Lucy perked up.
"Of course," Andrius replied. "And we can talk about the wedding with her."
The family boxed up the cake and took it downstairs for their next trip to the city.
...
The little cake in the box also remembered that day, and its pastry-heart swelled with a singular joy, remembering its day in the limelight - the last great cake made by Andrius' mother.
