indeed. i was actually a bit disappointed with the reroll since i think this setup would be incredibly easy to win as scum (i am aware that if everyone were to vote randomly, it is somewhat close to balanced in that everyone has a shit chance of winning, but that will never be the case and i am pretty sure everyone already knows where like 75% of the votes are going if we guess wrong d1 and there's probably 3-4 people that are never getting a vote (outside of maybe a hero vote) despite the fact that they've done nothing that's beyond the realm of fake-able)

i think i would have steam-rolled this game as scum, not because of any sort of brilliant manipulation or clever tactics or anything like that, but because i can put two sentences together and not look like lynchbait and really all scum needs to do is have at least one person look better than the majority of other players and hope they don't get hero voted

Granted if we wanted to just say "fuck the scum", we could all agree to simply vote for the player who's name is below ours and guarantee a scum loss, but where would the fun be in that if it doesn't lead to our win, since the whole point of this setup is GO FOR GOLD AND GLORY.

Core three that are universal for town and scum are

1) Be likeable
2) Be active
3) Be logical

If you just follow those three you gain a lot of power in most games. I can talk about more later but those are paramount.

Katsuki is a top tier player, as is Faraday. He and Faraday are nigh unreadable in different ways. One seemingly puts forth little to no effort into games and survives as few deem him a threat, while the other is fairly devious and clever, but attracts too much unnecessary attention to himself, shortening his lifespan. Both are very talented players, with very different approaches. This thread has helped shed light to quality players on the site.

Regardless of what you say, Katsuki deserved a scummy and is a player worth looking up to. His playing style may not appear to be the greatest in your eyes, but it is efficient. Even if he possesses a remarkably low intelligence (doubtful), his playing style and strategy is peerless.

Lol so this is why MagnaofNoScummies hated it when I praised Katsuki. Katsuki is impossible to read for me, but he is likeable and like a cockroach in terms of survival. Scum won't kill him if he's town, and he seems to toss his vote onto town driven wagons pretty well. His playing style minimizes effort but maximizes efficiency. I think that much smarter players aren't capable of doing what he does, and that it invariably pisses off "intelligent" posters when I say that Katsuki is a good player.

The way he called me scum when he, in his own accordance, hadn't read the game screamed scum. Then considering how much of the game he supposedly had read up to that point, there was no way townPV could possibly have such a read.

The entire case on me was bad and ya sealed PV lynch for me.

Liked playing with you Muffinman even if I found your style a little hard to deal with sometimes. Strangely some of my favourite moments were talking theory with you. Which is probably a bad sign that I need to stop playing mafia.
