People respect zMuff's scumhunting, right? That means there's some potential for something to happen here + he obviously stood out as having the least amount of posts. I also don't think anyone else is that comparable - in T-Bone's iso I see not just lurking but also an attempt to look pro-town; I don't think he's necessarily the scummiest but I would say the scum motivation for his posting seems the most obvious.

You said the word "jargon" instead. I just find it weird that you would describe it that way when I simply said what I saw. And then T-bone's incredulous reaction made me think it might have become a phrase people used.

It seemed silly to link things when he had a short iso of 5 posts, but I'll amuse you because for some reason I do that now. Look at #151 and note the words "serious" and "real" (it also ignores #149). #308 (and his more recent set-up-related posting) fits into the classic "scum being helpful"-mold.

basically this point [in my head at least] applies equally to you [and to an extent me]. if youre hunting based on people acting protown, how do you distinguish t-bone's play from someone town who is playing overly protown? or is it a combination of lurkiness/attempts to look protown? also can you give an update on your read on t-bone with his latest comments?

Firstly, I do think there is a difference between acting pro-town and attempting to look pro-town (although town do also have some motivation for the latter in most games). But it was specifically the combination that stood out because it is harder to look pro-town as scum when you post a lot.

I did already sort of comment on T-bone's more recent posting - his musings on the set-up are helpful but being helpful in a way that doesn't involve scumhunting is a classic move (presumably it's not actually that helpful if he

scum but I guess this is just similar but distinct from the acting pro-town/attempting to look pro-town). I liked the explanation for the Kuroivote at first although I don't like it that much in the full context of the game.

I think Kuroi's posted a bunch since then and he doesn't really look that likely to be scum; I'm not really clear as to whether T-bone's vote's still on Kuroi because he still believes it or because he hasn't found a better vote but I think it looks bad either way. And T-bone's recent interactions with Kuroi certainly seem devoid of any alignment probing or pushing.

There are definitely aspects of his play that are worrying (not antagonizing anyone seems like a good way of avoiding too much scrutiny D1) but on the whole he's really not putting in enough effort to be non-fleeing scum and he doesn't read like he's setting up to flee either, so I'd say he's probably town despite that.

On a related note, Quilford, why have you been ignoring Snarky's vote on you and why did you have him as weak town in #557?

Has anyone actually had a solid read either way on CES this whole game? I skimmed as many reads lists as I could find and he's null in almost every single one, and nobody has had a definite town or scum read on him. And now he's the only one pushing to rush a lynch. I could just be imagining things but scum!Cogie is in a perfect position to not flee and not get any votes day 2, which could explain why he's so set on lynching asap.

The fact that everyone else seems happy to let this game meander to the deadline is exactly why I'm pushing to get the lynch done so fiercely. If we get the lynch wrong, I still want to have the time to be able to make an informed decision and people aren't being very helpful in that regard.

It was just in the final days when you kept casually but effectively undermining my pushes on PV. I was basically in the perfect position to notice it because I really wanted PV lynched and you kept frustrating my efforts. It did make the weekend a much more relaxed affair for me as I wasn't that worried about PV fleeing any more.
