Does anyone wonder what would happen if we changed the title of the thread?

In this utopia, what would be the punishment for breaking rules?

Depends on the seriousness of the offense.
Minor crimes would be punished with fines of varying ranges or other appropriate penalties.
More severe crimes would require jail time in a prison system designed to prevent recidivism not forever ruin people's lives.
People who truly were beyond help could end up in prison for the rest of their lives or have the option of taking the death penalty instead.
2019 stats: Town WR 76.7%, overall WR 81.667%, 1 scum defeat involving a major mod error in lylo vs 8 scum wins.

I will role play as Accountant
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

This all sounds reasonable.

How would civil disputes involving contracts be resolved?

I just had a realization
Re-education could be comparable to deprogramming

reeducate is a positive action
deprogramming is a negative one.

we 'denazied' germany
often a country'rededucates' its own people.

ironically, however the connotations atr swapped.

whereas multiple examples of bad reeducation exist and thus the word has a sour association, not many cases of 'deprograming' exist. perhaps because it implies some soveignty on the recipient?

That's a good point
But I don't think I could support any "Utopia" now. I went down the wrong rabbit hole on TVTropes and have seen the worst that can happen in a "Utopia".

It's easy to write a dystopian novel. It's hard to write a utopian one.

If you could keep one person enslaved for a bit longer to save the world, any sane person would.

Why not keep many people enslaved for longer to save and reinforce order?
There's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.

You must not imagine that for beings like you and us there can be laughter. The low men laugh, and we envy them. But for us, the higher ones, there is no laughter, only an unending vigil, purely serious, stretching on into the night.
