Here Ranmaru had questioned Maria on their L-1 vote. I don't think she was under a lot of pressure though, so her using the bolded wording (almost like pleading?) seemed off to me. This post was also the real start of my Maria+Cheeky-line of thought.
It doesn't come across as distancing yet, but it feels like "laying the foundation" for a buss later. (if it were to be necessary)

Like, my very FIRST thought was that it had been an accident - alignments aside - and that just rushing head first into her lynch would likely dig us even deeper into a swamp.

How does that solve the game? She would know that my push for her doesn't have a scum-agenda, nor does my reluctance to lynch mastina. That's it. I think she would have to flip a hell of a lot of her alignment-reads to be able to lock the scumteam from there.

Which means that her perspective for this sentence is that I'm lock!scum, and she only needs to find a partner from my interactions.
