Skitter the neon flag for me was the way you said Mastina was acting scummy but you weren't for sure if that made her scum read as genuinely patient town to me. The only way you're scum is with Mastina and even then I have a hard time wrapping my mind around a partner going "Oh my partner is scummy but its not AI"...its just, too blatant in my mind.
That was the big thing. There's littler things too.

#464 Skitter:
Sometimes consensus is correct. Ask Sheep about how town had consensus on the Serial Killers game we just played. We decided everyone who was active was town and the replacements both wound up being scum. Consensus =/= wrong

In post 469, the worst wrote:@skitter, I agree with your comments around NSG's read on you. also poboqoboqobodob's read list was Intensely Wolfy but not aligned with NSG who I find more patently wolfy in isolation
like that Intensely Wolfy feeling probably also comes from old meta town and he's just recently returned
he's joined this like "susp but unsure" section of my read list
Outside of me, if podo=town and theworst=scum, this list:

Sheep do you do "clears" and "never lynches" as town? You just pulled that as scum in our game that finished. Anyone else is welcome to respond as well.

Don't like the subtle posturing of #812 "Oh why wasn't the person I replaced voting this scummy person" this slot is laying it on thick about the slot being town

Skitter had like at least three AI posts in their ISO and its concerning you are late to the game on that

I know I'm supposed to be sorting but I am really enjoying Podo reacting to Mastina and that's probably not funny to either party but it is hilarious to me

Okay scumreads this game are weak but I'm pretty damn confident in
(Podo, Skitter) town and pretty -no damn- confident in (Sheep, Pink Ball) town.
NSG's contrived reads list and her clunky replace-out, along with Meph's not subtle AND subtle attempts at posturing the slot as town and a mislynch .
Their whole entrance is on the only real counterwagon they have a shot at
#991 is very bad, Meph says the slot is town and then basically threatens it with a scumread for Sheep scumreading her
#994 is also kind of bad, considering their last post is #916 and has Skitter as a town read. Then she throws shade on Skitter for being the third vote.
There's some isolated sorting in there but it all seems contigent on whether the slot is voting Meph or not. I don't like how quickly they abandon townreads who vote them and how they don't even really do it directly, as was the case with Skitter and Sheep.

Meh.
I think part of what has made this game so grueling is the overuse of meta.
With all the talk y’all have done about it any player could probably earn a townread from half the town just by following the outlines that have been put in place in thread. I try to use meta more retroactively.
Like, the Sheep thing about clears. That’s done. He can’t take that back and it’s not subjective or vague.

I was the first half of the game, then after the reaction test you shifted to constant pontificating and vote switching and promising reads tomorrow or whatever and it looked way less goal-oriented sorting and way more like trying to stay busy.

I'm not putting any outlines here to Nancy to follow
I tried first to get interactions with her only to afterwards explain whatever alignment her posts might indicate that she has
what you are scum reading Nancy for is NAI as a fact even if she is scum, and that's also a fact. I'm just pointing it out.
She can still be scum but not for those reasons.
Yeah I’m not really going to let you draw the lines on what should and shouldn’t be a scumtell for each player. Quite frankly I’m not particularly interested in your opinion when you try to frame it as a fact.
My first game back I drove a lynch on BrightEyedFish and everyone told me everything he did was NAI and he was lynchbait but what do ya know he flipped scum. I don’t typically get talked out of scum reads by meta talk.
This is the first game I'm playing this way so I'll not insist
Also I'm not done with my metric on her and she has not many posts
I'll do a case on her being town though if in the end my final read on her is that she is town (who knows, I can change my mind)
if you guys buy it or not I dunno however
And you’re of course well within your right to do that, and if it’s convincing I’ll look elsewhere.
I just have a hard time with one red flag post, and it was the one where she asked why NSG wasn’t voting Mastina. It felt like an attempt to subtly posture the slot as town. Because what good does that do? Asking a hypothetical question about someone’s intentions when you know they aren’t in the game because you replaced them? It served no purpose but to subtly imply that NSG/Meph slot was town because Meph found Mastina scummy.
I don’t really believe you actually believe we’re w here. I will give you some time but I will become legit concerned, if sheep isn’t able to correctly read me soon.

Just so much indirect implications and setups for townreads being scum if they keep pressuring the slot. That and the posturing is like...a slam dunk. And knowing the slot replaced NSG is a free throw.

(5 NYE drinks in but not using that as an excuse to not be held accountable for my post but also feel I should let everyone know):
#1213 basically is prodding podo for a read on her and stirring the pot, I see no attempt to sort anything in that post. Just to confound.
I get I can tunnel. Like, im not super self-aware but I’m pretty self aware. How the hell does #1213 come from town? It’s not just frustration, it’s manipulative.

Also “NAI Nancy Day 1 play IMO” is like the most bullshit bullshit ever. Like that’s just blatant vapid deflection that doesn’t even try to convince anyone of anything.

That slot is concerned strictly with survival and fomenting doubt through emotional appeals and it reminds me a lot of a certain US president who flails when he’s caught blatantly being wrong.
Sorry to be political but not really because the comparison is uncanny

Okay yeah I’m fine with a hammer on that. More subtle posturing of “You’re derailing scumhunting if you pressure this slot” which implies that anything resembling pressure of the slot is derailing the focus of the game. My main points about U-turns on reads after voting weren’t responded to. “It’s true” is the most succinctly useless statement ever so points towards brevity. This flips scum like 2/3 times.

“I only care if scum are lynched” but doesn’t seem focused on actually sorting slots, or that sorting depends heavily on whether you’re suspicious of the slot.

You didn’t do anything wrong Nibbui it’s lowball manipilative BS. We’re at the point where everything is getting thrown at the wall but nothing is sticking.
