I educated myself to the best of my ability on my role PM and I pulled the trigger on my chosen course of action. I did not plead ignorance as to the weight or wisdom of my actions, both with role claiming and self-voting, or ask for special consideration for any reason (newness or otherwise). If I had questions about my role for the player base, I’d have asked them before role claiming. My feelings about the value of the miller role are immaterial to this game.

Skitter is doing her thing of being transparent and making sense as town. She tends to overexplain and reply to everything as scum.

She spends a lot of time arguing about the MJL miller claim, but her general read progression on that slot is very hedgey, like she's trying to make it sound nuanced while not really progressing it at all. It just hits the same point and I don't get the impression that she had to think about it enough to eventually land there naturally.

There's also the fact that she mostly ignored everything else for the first few pages of the game, which isn't necessarily scum-indicative by itself, but I remember her being more proactive about trying to get reads and leading engagements in my past games with her; this game she's been very reactive and hasn't given a whole lot of thought about sorting the game beyond the engagement with nomnomnom about MJL's claim.

A small tertiary reason is that I think all her reads are really easy.

a) i would disagree that my read progression is very hedge-y; i very emphatically stated what my opinion was and stuck with it; i don't see much reason to change my mind so i didn't.

The entire way that debate played out is not something I would expect from a group of players that are all town. A lot of it is how the game as a whole played out, tone, and the general trajectories of everyone involved.

What is the point of having an encryptor if there are only two scum? Just make day-talk a thing and once either of them gets lynched, they can't talk to themselves in the mafia PT during the day time.

It's pretty easily explainable by me being wary of engaging too much with my scumreads (predominantly LUV from how his side has gone) and me having an engagement with skitter that I just cut short and reassessed later.

I'm not very strong at direct engagements, and that mindset should light both into a bit of a different light.

The fact that both you and Skitter came to the conclusion that there should be one scum in LUV/X, yet that none of you actually pushed LUV, dropped your 1v1 as fast as it started, and instead decided to go for a creature push is the entire reason why I am on your case.

It doesn't make sense. This is scum reasoning. One of you is scum. And I'll find which one it is.

It really doesn't take very much to realize that skitter and I are TvT. When you really look at how we approached this game, you are assuming that I came into the game and immediately undermined the town consensus read on my partner, then staged this massive fight between us for... what reason exactly? In what universe is that a viable way to play the day 1 of this game rather than me letting skitter pocket the entire town and just looking for excuses for her to shield me until I'm in a good enough spot to be able to push mislynches directly?

I wasn’t really given much to work with since Skitter couldn’t articulate why she thinks it could come from scum and she tends to do that a lot. Kind of a waste to keep at it that point.

We have 2 mason claims and a Miller claim, how much power can town have here

depends on what scum has; i wouldn't be surprised if town had something else; the miller doesn't do much for balance as far as i can tell; it's basically a named townie

Doing this fakeclaim requires correctly recognizing that dtc thinks they are mason, and actually follow on it. One question is if they'd be able to do this.

To be honest, the way Cheeky played it is probably far from optimal town play, but I don't see it as viable scum play though, because in a micro they would obv. go down in any mass cliam scenario that doesn't add up. Also I find it hard to believe skitter would try to coach her as she did in broad daylight (the it's not a town tel for me when cheaky initially justified her town read).

Balance wise I'm with Nom, I think we might be looking at three scum here, though not necessarily a group of three.

I think a D1 Mason claim is not optimal play. There was no immediate need to do it, and I think it was too obvious if it was supposed to be breadcrumbs.

The order doesn't matter unless you are paranoid about one slot in particular. In that case it's actually better to lynch that slot first unless the worst case scenario is more catastrophic than the one where we lynch creature first.

I'd say I actually was the cause town lost and I feel bad about it. If I was slightly calmer I think Saudade would have been a bit more clearly scum. But hey, that's the game and you learn things everyday I guess. Probably the last time I take a game this much to heart too. That's not healthy.

i think the pool was kinda whittled down to {luv/saudade/creature} but we lynched the vt

and then i got paranoid of blake overnight, coupled with all of day2, and the game kinda just imploded

elsa and saudade referred to my other ongoing game which is now over (larger normal 220), they both got light bans for it, elsa was dead in 220 and knew that saudade had fakeclaimed mason over there so i was under the impression that he was alluding to that in one of his posts,,

i asked the listmods and they told me to force replace elsa!
