- 'i know that skitter thinks my LAMIST-ness is townie so i'm going to hype that up to get her to townread me even more' (which i think is fairly unlikely and requires a level of nuance that i'd be kinda surprised to see coming from scum her!)

It's easy to get fooled by a player that likes newbtelling left and right but it's easy to see it's extremely forced here.

Have we even met before?

Now explain to me how someone would follow the play section to the letter and somehow not understand the role when it's explained just before.

I don't understand the problem you're having really, she can read the advice on how to play without getting the role of a miller in a setup

Even if it's just before? I'm fairly sure town!MJL would have read the thing just on top and asked more questions about the place of a miller in a setup but in here she acted confused. That's how I feel about the slot anyway.

I educated myself to the best of my ability on my role PM and I pulled the trigger on my chosen course of action. I did not plead ignorance as to the weight or wisdom of my actions, both with role claiming and self-voting, or ask for special consideration for any reason (newness or otherwise). If I had questions about my role for the player base, I’d have asked them before role claiming. My feelings about the value of the miller role are immaterial to this game.

Town. I really want to scum read this but I can’t yet. If I'm around tomorrow, I'll try to build a town and scum case so I can better sort this player with the evidence in front of me.

Scum. (Sorry, Elsa!) The acceptance of my claiming miller seemed perfectly natural to Elsa; like he was aware that I wasn’t scum, so my miller claim was plausible. Still digesting the day’s events, but I thought the daychat slip was over-compensated for between Elsa Jay and CheekyTeeky. They were still doing damage control even though my miller claim had taken my, Skitter and noms' attention.

My personal preference is that scum is Elsa and nom, but my logic tells me Elsa and Cheeky are a more likely pair. This of course could change when Creature and DeltaWave show up.
