If we ignore the hoods this would be a variation of 2v4 mountainous - where there are only 6 possible scum pairs (as opposed to 15), and where pretty much both scum would have to be found out Day 1. I'm thinking whether interacting in hoods would make it easier to figure out or not.

Well yes, but i do remember reading somewhere that townies in a hood with scum are more likely to townread them/get pocketed. Though i guess this is a *slightly* different format than a classical hood in a game. Hmm.

From last game? It was "collectively agree on which hood is scummier, force anyone from that hood to selfvote. Either they're town and will do it (and win if we're right) or scum and will refuse.

Idk how the voting phase plays into that though.

I had a very similar thought wrt Kanna being scum this game. Either I'm right, and you self-vote to a win, you don't self vote because you're scum with her at which point you're outed, or my hood is scum in which case I trust you to figure it out.

I believe I've often been described as ~easy to read~. Also, the fact that the game's fate would be out of my hands is a relief, which adds to the feeling of trust, as illogical as that sounds.

I don't know if I can offer you anything objective. Fuck, I was sure that my hood is the town one. Usually in situations like this I try to ~obvtown~ through tone, but it doesn't always work, especially if you're not familiar with my games.

Yeah, just checked. It was mostly clidd and I talking in the hood, with dsjstr occasionally making a meaningless post. When i told him to start talking and asked him if I was getting pocketed by clidd, he immediately got ~suspicious~ because of the obviously logical problem there that clidd would have to be his partner. clidd kept insisting we're the town hood, and dsjstr additionally said that we've been talking a lot and that usually happens when scum are trying to trick town. though he never mentioned any suspicion in the main thread.

My goal was to try to figure out which hood is which, not necessarily the alignments of every member. It was partly a "mindmeld" - i thought Kanna's intro was odd, and when clidd mentioned the same thing in the hood I thought he was Town and figured we were the Town hood.

His explanation of "why would town!Ame use the same thing again if she just lost" sounded sound enough at the time, and I was confbiasing I guess.

i think the biggest problem here was that town self-hammered too soon, with very little info from the other hood
so it became a pure shouting match between me and clidd
which got annoying real soon for everyone

I think it's a pretty cool setup, I liked the fix.

I think the issue here was Town self-hammering too early. If they're wrong, and their hood is indeed the all-Town hood, then the whole thing just turns into a shouting match between the three neighbours of the scum hood, with not much info to go off of, which in my opinion makes it kinda unfun for everyone.

I'm wondering if adding another all-Town hood and/or changing some mechanics would make it better. Definitely has potential.
