Also, the cho wasn't jungling, so cho would have to beat smite with feast... not smite vs. smite+feast. Even if Cho was 16 at the time (probably at 45?) he only had 130 AP, so his feast was doing 741 true damage. At level 16, smite does 900 damage.

what was the other execute? unless you're on voice comms, the idea that you should be able to time different champions' executes along with smite is laughable.
Don't get me wrong, it's still amazing to steal a baron, etc. Just pointing out that it's not really cho's fault.

yeah most seem to give up flash and use a champion with either an escape or a speed boost or something: hecarim, shyvanna and mundo are the ones I've heard most. It still requires playing somewhat safely in the opening minutes, but with a side that if you need to leave lane because the lane gets pushed you can jungle.
To be fair, I think this is one of those things that's more powerful in organized games (I think China and both EUCS and NACS have used it recently), but still seems viable in solo.

As long as there's diversity for one of the slots I don't really mind, but there are some niche picks that don't take flash. I think they could do a little to make a couple of the summoner's spells more appealing at least, particularly Barrier and Cleanse (add armor/MR to barrier, allow cleanse to work on basically everything, particularly suppression). I'm not sure Clairvoyance or Clarity are worth trying to improve.

If everyone on a team is using cleanse to deal with suppression champions, I think you've done your job already. Plus, just like Flash and teleport, these things do have significantly longer cooldowns than the suppression abilities.

I tried it with Mundo. Worked well, but I think to be really useful you need to also have some jungle mentality (really think about when's a good opening to take Krugs/Gromp, invade to steal blue, make sure you have the scuttler on timer).
Honestly, cinderhulk is very good, but the combination with skirmishers is what makes it really good.

he should get level 2 from killing krugs as long as no one else is there to leach and you get both of them. Wasting TP right away isn't that big a deal. You figure you respawn around 2:40, you TP in at 2:45, so your TP is back up at 6:45ish. It means you can't back early, but you have a few extra potions, which should make that unnecessary as Sion. I don't think most Sions would want to TP elsewhere on the map before 7 minutes anyway, but I'm no expert.
Partly the fact that they're steering into the mobility creep, but it's more that they've started throwing in mechanics that can't possibly have been thought out beyond "WE DON'T HAVE THIS YET, THIS CHAMPION IS UNIQUE" and that fundamentally change the way you have to interact with gameplay elements. I can go on an entire rant about Azir or Kalista or Bard or Yasuo, but I won't. Bard is by far my least favorite champion, but only because my irrational hatred of Quinn has caused me to not consider her to be a champion at all.
I feel like we have approximately the opposite reactions.

so i was curious and I looked through. I made arbitrary distinctions between who looks human enough and put everyone else in an "Others" category (I mean sure most have a "gender" but one that's largely irrelevant for this). Support+ is the people who have Support as a main or secondary mark. Obviously this isn't about meta, but I think it shows who was designed to do what.
What stands out most to me is that while Support primaries are about the same, even classes that were designed to be played elsewhere were kind of designed as "supporty" (think Morgana, Orianna, Lux, Karma).
there were some cases that were close... Kassadin and Jax, for example. But interestingly almost all the close cases of "do they go in the "humanish ______ category?" were male. Sure there's Nami and Cassiopeia, but at least for me those weren't particularly close calls.

I am making no statement based on lore or whatever. I frankly don't care about that, and I think it actually makes the exercise muddier to buy into the lore. I'm entirely focused on the character model/splash screens and what I think they're intended to be read as or what I read them as. I'll readily accept that my biases are at work.
I understand all these Yordles are the same race, but some are human analogues and some are more of the creature variety (Teemo looks like a squirrel to me. Fizz looks way more like a fish than nami does. Tristana is less humanish than she used to be, but I'm pretty used to the old model. Lulu, corki, poppy, ziggs are all clearly modeled on humans).

In any competitive event, most people experience plateaus in performance. Whether that's lifting weights, running fast, playing chess, or league of legends it'll happen to most people. But lots of people eventually break through that frustrating period... it just takes time and (sometimes) perspective. You maybe got as good as you could through doing the same sorts of things you were doing before -- just doing them better. But at some point that has to end and you have to figure out different ways to do it.
Not using my own league performance as a source of advice -- I suck and I will likely always suck -- but just general insight into how life works.

I don't think it's optimal (heal has saved me/my teammates from getting killed/gotten me kills almost as much as flash), but teleport on an ADC isn't exactly like taking clairvoyance or something. Teleport is pretty awesome.

Well that's fine if you don't care about your teammates being able to do damage to the enemy. Plus, it has a lot of good other stats: CD reduction, 400 health, phage unique.
If you're the only Physical damage on your team, BC probably isn't that great (though it's cost effective without stacks). If you have two or three AD teammates, then it can be pretty awesome in team fights against tanks.

what are the other typical items that fill that role? Triforce on some (which shares the phage)... Brutalizer used to be common, but I can't imagine youmumus is the item you're looking for if you only get one...

gosh darn inebriati princple. Two beers=good. Three beers=bad. Also, have to use the bathroom a lot. But fortunately because three beers=bad i'm dead a lot and can run to the bathroom really quickly.

You did the voice for Orianna??
hahaha zing! no, her friend from undergrad who now lives in hong kong teaching english. It's mostly weird because she's more dabbled in VO work doing mostly non-union anime stuff, so I never would have expected to hear her voice on something.

Finally leveled my alt to 30 and did my placements and was put into Silver III despite going 5-5 (compared to my 7-3 Bronze I finish on my main). Getting to 30 sure is a slog!

it is not for no reason that in the 90s when pulling a prank, where one kid would make another kid believe something that was not true, the prankster would yell, "Psyche!"

I have't checked, but I assume that any skill that relies on flat damage rather than high AD ratios would benefit from armor pen. not sure that makes it worth it though.

Am incorrect to think that flat armor pen from runes is actually better the less armor a player has? Because armor has decreasing utility, and unlike LW (which is a % armor pen), removing points of armor from someone without much armor has a greater effect than against someone who has a lot?
