Scum claiming mason is a bad idea, even I know that. They're banking on not being lynched at all with that, because if one's lynched, then the other is confirmed to be lying, and therefore they're scum.

Masons have no powers. Just like IC. It is good to have 3 confirmed town on D1 already + narrows down pool for cop/rolebrock/vig

if we have 3 town + 10 unknown and we mislynch and have 2 town flips from the night one from mafia and one from vig or sk then we have 3 town and 7 unknown on d2 and if there's a cop then we have 4 town and 6 unknown with 3 or 4 of them guaranteed to be scum so we lynch in those

Ideas on why Judge would want masons to out:
It's a trade. We reduce the pool of scum and in exchange, mafia are more likely to hit a PR.
The other thing is that it means the masons are essentially given total immunity, unless both SK and Maf target opposite targets, because once one is flipped, the other one gets confirmed instantly, giving us basically 2 ICs.
I see that asking as mostly null from him asking, since both Town and scum would want that.

If he's town, he'd do it to reduce the possible pool of scum, and if he's scum, he'd do it to reduce the pool of PRs.

Let me use an example from Town of Salem: Let's say we have a mayor. He's spamming and being unhelpful to town. He then reveals himself as mayor. Do you lynch the mayor in that case?

, why? Because then you're proving yourself as non-town, because why would Town want to lynch the mayor, the

only

confirmed town role? If you're town, that's gamethrowing.

The same example is true here. We're innocent child. We're a town role that is confirmed to be town. Why would you lynch that role even if they're spamming and not being helpful? Because then you're gamethrowing. You're purposefully harming your own faction. Even if you're town, you're bad town.
