I will move to the Killthestory wagon if it grows larger than the TheBrie wagon. I agree with you that it's a slightly more useful lynch if we can get it through, although I'm aware of the difficulty of pushing a lynch on scum when we only have two more townies than votes required to lynch.

I don't think northsidegal and northsidestory can be the same person; I believe that would be disallowed by Open queue rules (or at least require the game to be "bastard" flagged, and it wasn't). The List Moderators routinely check for that sort of cheating. (Note that if they

are

the same person, the game would be completely broken unless northsidestory were scum – you don't need to do any sort of scumreading in that case, just the realisation that a townie who knows all the scum is a balance nightmare – but I don't think the situation can have happened at all.)

I'll just explain what's wrong with the assertion in #204: if northsidegal is

not

in fact the game mod, in the sense that someone else is (but is merely posting votecounts and acting like the mod), there'd be too much risk of someone contacting her by PM about the game and telling her something she's not supposed to know.

It makes zero sense to pretend to be the moderator of a game when you aren't. Just ask the game's actual mod to publicly be the mod. (Even when I've seen bastard games in the past, I've

never

seen the theory that the game has a decoy moderator and the actual moderator is someone else. There's way too much risk of things going wrong, and it would involve lying to the listmod in the Queue thread, which is probably a bannable offence.)

Let me try to phrase the question correctly in the way that the mod can legally answer, in the hope that this ridiculous discussion stops distracting people:
