I've deliberated on your feedback, and I've decided that the titlebot will stay a meme. There are things around the site I could make bots for that people are less likely to label vanity projects. Furthermore, I will chart out a different vision for fairying that's even less concerned w/ the exact number of nths and antinths a nom gets than it already is and more concerned with the actual discourse justifying or discrediting individual noms.

Advise for future title-pushers and title-opposers is to give more time to explaining how your nomination 1) references an interesting incident, playstyle or characteristic of the user, and 2) makes the reference in an interesting way that's 3) accessible/appreciable to the broader community,

at least and especially the last one

. Whether a lot of other people agree with you ITT still matters a lot, but i will try to pick apart the reasoning, and the process will be stalled until i'm confident a nom and it's justification needs no further fleshing out.

This will ensure that title discussion is thorough, facilitate brainstorming, and give me a clear role in title deliberations beyond dictating my personal tastes and tracking support.

You still don't get it though. This is your only role.

You're not required to count "nths" or "anti-noms". You're not required to have a discussion period of 72 hours. You're not required to solicit title ideas from the public. Hell, you don't even need to have a thread to interact with the public. You've put those trappings on yourself.

If anything, trying to keep people happy has been one of the things that seems to habitually frustrate title fairies. We're selfish assholes who want to pull you in every opposite directions. And we'll bitch and whine when we don't get our way. When you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one. Every time there's a new title fairy, I try to advise them to ignore the people and rule with an iron fist.

"seriously killer" doesn't say chickadee to me at all. It gives the impression of like, serious and suave with that title while chick is more quirky and funny.

Flareon addressed the personality, and the Mr. Autimatic stuff is a main point. Puns are a meh reason and it doesn't fit with the dead things unless the rest is there, making it a meh title overall.

Like I like the idea, but it doesn't quite to it.
