To put this in perspective, I want you all to think about every D1 in every game you've ever played. What percentage does town hit actually good scum on D1 lynches? Is it very low, or so extremely low that pigs fly and he'll freezes over before it happens? I'm also not saying BAD scum players, but good ones. How many bad players are in this game? How many good scum players are in this game? How many times do you see them getting lynched D1 as scum? Now multiply that by two. You get no info from D1 mislynches, and they're usually always mislynches. Option 1 is a scum dream scenario, giving them two bad, no-info lynches with zero effort, then a smaller cast of townies to NK after. Yeah, town who pick this are VI and i assume it's scum that will try to sneak it through

Ok, so in regards to this line of thinking. I actually initially typed out that I liked this line of thinking and it made sense to me (it's in line with the suggestion to maybe hedge I said earlier). But realistically, if we assume srceen is town, I'm still not convinced that wagon even needed that much of a scum presence at all to get through. I actually think it's pretty likely that the majority of the scum-team was not even on the wagon, which makes this look even worse for Creature.

When I first read D1 I strongly felt this was town but this feeling is diminishing as I re-read this in ISO. A lot of the unease I feels stems from like little tiny things that aren't particularly scum-indicative on any meta basis that I know of, but that tick me off anyway. The first thing is that he (sorta, it happens like ~5 times D1) frequently seems to be buddying Wisdom, with stuff like "are we mason buddies??"/"literally soulmelding with me"/Top-of-the-readlist-every-time.

He dropped off the map for the most part after D1, and has only voted scum since then. I would be fine with this, but the problem is that as of the readlists he posted D1, his vote patterns after D1, don't make sense. For example YT and Whemestar were both at the top of his D1 readlist and he would later go on to lynch them.

Overall he says he has the game sorted but the consistency in sticking with the reads that he publicly displayed is not there imo. I would like 60% support a lynch on this but GIF has offered himself D5 for the potential double vengeful. Light 4.

After re-considering, his roles like treestump, vengeful, and beloved, are all possible as scum. Light 3.

eep. Honestly not what I expected from this slot this game, but I kinda don't see this as scum just off of D1. My biggest issue with this slot is just the posting style. It's really needlessly umm... toddlerish. I'll find a word later don't worry. I digress, the other actually alignment indicative part of the slot I find off are the reads. I expected them to be better. Keychain and GIF are the primary scumreads for the day, and we can clearly see how the keychain wagon ended up. I don't like how he went about it either, he mostly just called the slot scum repeatedly and then explained it by calling it essentially aura (511), which is like naruto levels of scumreads. The GIF read was a little more grounded in reality. I agree that scum!GIF does set up people up to get mislynched with weird """"reaction tests"""" (I still remember when it happened to me offsite when I was like 13), but I don't think that's what's happenening her, simply because he stopped pushing at the IC claim, and I'm fairly sure that scum!GIF could have given less than a shit about that and pushed it anyway and then argued that he thought he was flailing (or provoked him into flailing).

Reconsidering after a few hours and maybe scum!gif didn't think he had the clout or that he could make it believable. Point may have merit after all.

As a secondary part I'm thinking this slot is town based on some of these I don't even want to call it crumbs that I'm seeing here. Firm 6.

I feel stupid typing this now, no one needed me to tell anyone this, I can clearly see that this is obvtown and I know why I forgot that that this dude was town: he's actually managed to be so transparent that I lose interest in reading. I don't like how this is starting out. The justification for kidnapping beeboy sucks, he wasn't wagoned at all. Literally just keychain and gif RVS voted him before he even posted. Katsuki case is super weak. The hype over keychain's last reads is a little bit ??? considering that based on those reads, I really doubt that's what he got lynched over. I'll assume the stance on this post has changed since then, especially given the flips we've since gotten. 1155 sucks and reads like "YES I CARE ABOUT TOWN COHESION. I CARE ABOUT GAMESOLVING. YES." He gets salty about acryon calling his vote a wisdom sheep (moving a vote from a strong scumread to a maybe one is a sheep btw). The buddying is just off the charts in this ISO. 3/4ths through the ISO and I don't want to read anymore. The fact that this and beeboy are the scummiest slots to me make me feel icky and wrong, so I'm going to have to ~shudder~ talk to scumreads to actually sort them.

Townreading someone isn't any particular reason to remove them from the thread into your own shared neighborhood. From my perspective it makes no sense to abduct a town read that is in no danger whatsoever when that could have been used on either a. a potential mislynch that you're confident is town or b. someone that you place a priority on sorting early on in the game. 4) Upon not gaining the "correct" information, they didn't want a 2nd lynch AFTER VOTING FOR IT. Backtracking and giving wxcuses for poor decisions is not a Town mindset.

1. This is trivial.
2. Role info indicates otherwise.
3. He voted for option 1 after switching from option 2 under the stipulation that a flip would be provided immediately after the lynch. One is a much better position than the other.
4. This is the same as 3. While I value 2 lynches over 1, the argument can easily be made that knowing the flip is what makes the 2nd lynch advantageous, otherwise you had 2 D1 flips instead of D1 and D2. The idea that it's a poor excuse and a backtrack is short-sighted.

You must misunderstand my point. I'm saying that your post makes it seem as if you are trying to seem as if you care about game solving and town cohesion but the enthusiasm does not feel genuine and thus the whole tone of the post reads as fake, which is scum indicative to me.

Also, answers to these questions are VERY handy in referencing later for better refined reads. Your argument of me "fake-helping" isn't valid at all because I genuinely worked toward siding with someone I was feeling more likely to be town progressively.

Those questions don't help Wisdom with his reads. He's been playing long enough to consider what information he gains from each flip. This is what I mean when I say the tone of the post reads as fake, the "help" that you are providing does not seem like actual help. It looks like unnecessary words that you say to make it look like you are helping when in reality your involvement did not do anything. It's like Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. That said, every single read Nos offers is utterly inoffensive apart from Taly - I genuinely struggle to see how anyone can call this slot scum given the amount of work they have put in to gamesolving, their claimed actions, and Nos' complaints about the slot read entirely non-genuine. The Keychain comments also indicate a complete lack of engagement in the game, or completely forgetting what kill was submitted by scum. Possibly both.

Think of it as me confirming what role I have tonight, as since I didn't exactly choose it's a little unclear to me.

Okay, this isn't seriously a part of my catchup, but I'm going to choose to take this as a compliment. Like, yes, I aim as town to be transparent, to scumhunt (and apparently to do so I just need to follow my gutreads more often) and to avoid doing what I did in world.createNew(Utopia everHope) again unless the situation calls for it or it would be particularly amusing.

Disagree. Tora got the rope for lolhammering and disappearing (arguably lurking, but the lolhammer is a policy thing for me). Wheme was playing against town meta, flipped on Srceen for no reason, and then flailed and didn't engage with lines of questioning. YT arguably was lynched because of the NSG lurktell, but their stated views also made little to no sense from a town perspective, or indeed from anyone who had actually read the game.

YT was voted up before they even started their catch-up. YT also wasn't very active in-thread when he was here. I don't think there's anything in that catch-up that could have saved that slot considering the circumstances. I figured the Tora wagon was a lurkwagon as well. This is where I get the 2/3.

Possible, but if someone were to fakeclaim gunsmith, I just don't think you ever "clear" someone like me. If people believe you, then you've "cleared" someone who was scumread by multiple people and if you're going to try to make an ally by clearing them, why do it with someone who has so little town-pull? It's just very hard to believe scum fakeclaims like he did and fakes me as the check.

That's a reasonable point. However, there's an element of WIFOM (on a grander scale) to picking your fake clear if you're doing that as scum, and going for someone *too* widely townread could lead to you being disproven by an errant watcher/tracker in the wrong place at the right time. Also, as I said, I think there's a danger to getting too fixed on the claim in a game like this over the posting and what that says about the person.

A bit of a shitty fake clear if I introduce the possibility of a traitor before I even vocalize the possibility of a clear.
