Will post some thoughts on implosion vs Mastina later but I’ll say this now: There were things I liked and disliked from both of them, and things I agreed with and disagreed with as well. Will explain them when I make my proper post later-

Ok so I won't be quoting everything, I'll just be making notes as I read the thread. In post 976, BNL wrote:Will post some thoughts on implosion vs Mastina later but I’ll say this now: There were things I liked and disliked from both of them, and things I agreed with and disagreed with as well. Implosion not voting Kokichi is null, as many people have decided that optimal play is for me to vig Koki.
I also had the reaction to try looking for more potentially breadcrumbed claims by Implosion, but of course that'll be impossible.
I'd disagree that implo/Esp interactions can't be scum/scum. The VCA was really telling. The wagon shift at EOD from Esp->BNL->Esp was really weird and made no sense, and I thought scum were the ones who consistently stayed on a single wagon, which points to implo/Mylo.
I am not confirmed town yet. I will be only when (and if) my kill goes through tonight.
Implosion not understand the third investigative (the inno on Awoo that mastina received) seemed like playing dumb to me, but I've actually done a similar thing as town before.
Also 970 was terrible. Quite gut, but I think many other players would have felt it as well. Good way to explain it is that it's a slight shade throw at mastina.
I think I can vote implosion, but I'll think a bit more.-

Also I remember that I once said Pine was town for reasons I didn’t want to mention, but I’ve realised this was wrong.-

So I'm assuming with all the claims, heads are gonna roll tonight. I dont want to lynch kokichi because he said he'd do something. I also dont really want to lynch implosion anymore. (But I do think that he's the best positioned after a Wisdom NK and I also think he hasn't been towny today and I agree that Espe was a SUPER plausible bus)
I'm a willing vote on mutant, mylo, pine, or mastina.
If forced to choose I'd choose implosion over kokichidid another ms user do something lovely? recognize their achievements here!
Today's modern mafia consumer demands dozens, nay, hundreds of roles that are vanilla cops.--implosion

Fuck.
Awoo isn't conftown.
I can't tell you the exact question I asked the mod without giving away both the identity and exact role of the "third investigative", but I can do this:
PLAYER WHO TARGETED AWOO:Ask what'd happen if you targeted Espeonage.
The answer you get won't be what you thought it'd be, which VASTLY changes optimal usage of your role.-

(Once home from work, I'll both read and review given that new info, but I actually think even without Awoo as conftown and the investigative not having a clearing result that the investigative and Awoo are both town anyway.)-

Anyone else willing? How do you expect to find the culprit when you're all worried about each other's feelings? If you're planning to expose a liar, then you have to corner them psychologically.-

The fact that she's been a scum n2 vig actually somewhat completely flips my read on her. I'm still slightly deciding whether it means anything necessarily, but from my point of view the setup obviously makes more sense if there is some vig for me to inherit from. It would also help explain the preponderance of town power we have if scum have something that's strong in scum's hands like a night 2 vig.BNL wrote:Implosion what do you think of Mastina?
Her case itself, I can see from town or scum.
What do you think of his interactions toward me?BNL wrote:I'd disagree that implo/Esp interactions can't be scum/scum. The VCA was really telling. I don't understand why scum would necessarily be the ones who stayed on a single wagon here, either. Scum would love the chance to potentially mislynch you if they thought they could get away with it. And it's not like I was parking my vote on Espeonage and coasting, I fought against your wagon. I think the espe wagon has a solid chance of being all town up until Kokichi's hammer (or including it if Kokichi does wind up being town).-

1. Why is your reasoning against lynching Kokichi something other than "because BNL is shooting him tonight"?In post 982, Errantparabola wrote:

Well keep in mind my running theory is that it's a mod-provided safeclaim, just that it's also a claim which I can see you making without it being mod-provided. But while it is a claim I think can be made without being mod-provided, I still think it to be a mod-given safeclaim. In post 965, implosion wrote:Wait a minute.
Doesn't this disqualify me as scum, by your logic? My role is under some circumstances provable, and as far as theoretical scum-me knows, those circumstances (the existence of a vig) might exist.
But even if not, you claimed after every other roleclaim in the game. Aside from the investigative-which-doesn't-actually-have-the-innocent-on-Awoo-they-thought-they-did, literally everyone in the game who is going to claim a PR, has claimed a PR. So by then, you would have known that your breadcrumbed role was safe to claim.
Keep in mind that just because youlaya breadcrumb, doesn't mean you need tousethe breadcrumb, least of all one as subtle as the one you made. If a vig claim came up which would ruin your planned claim, all you'd need to to fix it is just claim VT.
Sure have!In post 970, implosion wrote:so uh, I just made a random discovery. Namely, that mastina has been a mafia night 2 vigilante before.
...In a game which literally started four fucking days before this game. Check the timestamps: Tue Jun 12, 2018 7:52 am, start of that game; Fri Jun 15, 2018 2:18 pm, start of this game. So, did I say four? Make that three fucking days difference. That game just ended very, very quickly in spite of being a contemporary to this game.
The list of possible mafia roles I could be, I gave you:Anything not listed there wasn't completed at the time of this game, or is ineligible for this game.
What this is, then, is a blatant attempt to shade me. Because I told you what I could be, and that wasn't on the list, for very fucking good reason; that game was so barely ongoing that it had almost not even started when this game did.-
