Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
but still, the point is; why is anyone discussing this like Sleepo is going to run anything beside 5e? It says 5e in the name and he only knows 5e.
lol, idiot can't even follow the conversation.

5 post in a row asking for 5e. I'm following fine. So much for "Reasonably intelligent". My point is more, once we corrected James about 3.5 not being compatible with 5e, why are we discussing it?
no one was talking about running anything other than 5e.

I mean, him being confused that it was compatible and him wanting to play a pathfinder character is not at ALL asking to not play 5e, fucking moron.

I don't think a GM should set out to kill players, but I think an opportunity where death would be thematically meaningful or where the player does something that makes death inevitable unless the GM handwaves should proceed as normal.

The demand for this seems really high so I've talked to SK and I'm going to throw my hat in as a DM. I'm looking to run a city centered campaign based on a 5e conversion (by me in real time as we run into it) of the pathfinder adventure path Curse of the Crimson Throne. The adventurers will start out being brought together to seek revenge against a local crime boss that has wronged them all in some way in the past. It will transition into a campaign where they will be offered options for quests at the local adventure's guild. Seeds for a greater narrative will be tied into some or most of the quests that the group choose to take. The setting will be high magic by 5e standards. Curse of the Crimson Throne originally is intended to run from first to 20th level. That could be quite a big time commitment so we might stop at another break point (perhaps as early as you getting revenge on the local crime boss.) dependent on how everyone is enjoying things.
