I'm going to put this in a really simple way then. If Mumble was a town power role especially one that counters the worst why didn't he counter claim or push for the worst lynch after he understood the claim? Nero waiting for mumble slot is just a excuse to buy time for his scum buddy and anyone can see that.

-Because if they were town and it countered The worst the automatic assumption would be the worst is lying. Thus they would think the worst is scum and want them lynched the fact they backed off and treat the worst as town means they don't have a role that counters the worst and mason+hider+anything else kinda makes town a bit over powered.
