Anyways the nice part of growing up in SF during the Bonds/Kent era was that it was very easy to justify not caring about the 49ers

Trying to find some silver linings here, just bear with me.

- If you're going to ship your best player anywhere, send him to the NFC where you only have to see him once every 4 years.
- 3 first round picks next year has the potential to set this team up for consistent success for the foreseeable future.
- Mack's contract was gonna be (deservedly) massive, they can figure out more efficient ways to use that money.
- This is still first and foremost a Quarterback's league, and if Carr can go back to 2016 form this team can still win.

That's about all I've got... this sucks. This really fucking sucks. This is a game changing defensive player leaving the team, someone who the fans had rallied around and looked up to.

The pressure is on Gruden now. If he doesn't win fast, the fans are going to turn even faster.

I don't think that that letting a kicker go is really tanking. I don't think Hurns is horrible and Beasly is a poor mans Edleman. This was setup to be a run first team. Or did you mean something else?

yes and no. He supposedly retired b/c he didn't want to learn a new playbook. I don't think he was all that interested in football or maybe he just did kinda suck and didn't want to hang around the league and not be a star.

Idk about the other guy that much, but being an RB in the NFL requires a very different athleticism to being a rugby player because of the fact that in the NFL you basically don't need cardio
