I think the trick to this setup is not scumreading people for scumreading the forest, and not being afraid to fake a read on the forest
It really doesn't matter if both pyro's and smokey scumread the forest during the day because the only way they get killed is a pyro attacking them at night - there's no lynches to associate from (But if there were, I'd be voting Sonia for her awkward entrance into this day)
Also here's a tip from the few versions of this setup I've read: Pyro usually searches for the forest among the quiet early posters, and they're usually right. It would be good to avoid that trap this game
Yeah, people need to not assume that scumreading the forest is scummy. That said, I don't think discussing reads strictly is the most productive thing anyway, unless you have particularly compelling reasons, just because prevention is an individual action; ultimately we have to make ourselves readable in terms of being town or scum, while being indiscernible between being forest/smokey/you.

That’s the ideal scenario, but is hard to play out in practice.
Out of curiosity, why aren't we allowed to prevent the Forest? It's a viable strategy to mislead the scum, and if we can't mislead the scum, they'll win each and every time, as shown in the game history.......

If you prevent the Forest, you are killing the Forest and playing against your win con.

Well, letting scum win every single time is also playing against our win-con......

I can quote you the place where it says preventing the Forest gets the smartass YOU blacklisted.
That doesn't explicitly denote that preventing the Forest gets them killed.
Anyway, can you add another mechanic that prevents scum from figuring out who the Forest is so easily? Otherwise, scum will win this kind of game every single time, and that's not fun either.....
