I actually have a lot of weird paranoia that broxul is actually acting townish and it's just being missed. It's weird. Like 273 feels townish possibly? There's a solid chance I'll join the wagon later. I just still don't feel great about slimer. Cheeky's summary on Broxul is pretty solid.

To clarify, a) above, when I say maybe a scum lean I mean that responding only once you're called out /asked to seems to show little initiative, making it easier for scum to play. Could also be lazy town though, hence just a lean

I'm curious because my thoughts on giga right now are that I like the posts about trying to dig into a scum!Stan mind set. Even if I disagree and don't actually feel stan is scum that process feels like it comes from town to me. I do agree with her take on Emrys right now, that we should wait for a replacement. Pressuring that slot hasn't had any effect so far. I'm not sure what effect a replacement coming in to a wagon on them might have. I feel like whomever is in that slot is going to be under intense pressure anyways because they will have to read through the game and produce content in less than 2 days time. I digress. I feel like I went into reading giga with a bias because I was scum-reading slimer, but came out thinking she might not be scum.

@implosion, can you make sense of 322 for me? You say you think I'm towny and people are missing it but also that your going to join my wagon later. I don't know where the disconnect is.

Also @shortaru, can you explain why you think I'm a good lynch for today. You kind of defended me from Cheeky's push in 318 and 319 and then voted for me in 329. So again, I'm not sure where your mindset switched.

I don't really have actual concrete reasons to think you're town that I think are good, I just have paranoia. And like I mentioned, I thought Cheeky's summary of her reasons for joining the wagon was pretty good.

It's really not ignoring context. I know that your argument is that I'm scum who slipped that slimer is town (which in the first place is kind of a very silly argument to make about an experienced player), but you also literally said that if I flip red it hard clears slimer's slot; the contrapositive statement of this is that if slimer's slot flips red, it hard clears me.

(and I don't particularly care that snark didn't improve your read of me; that isn't the primary point behind snark!)

No it doesn't, because slimer isn't the one that slipped a townie.

And don't act like experienced players are incapable of making mistakes.

Even inexperienced players "slip" things at a rate way, way less than common knowledge would say. Sure, there are things that can be inferred strongly in many cases; in this case I've already explained why the premise of it even being a slip is wrong because scum can absolutely be afraid of it looking bad to put a scumbuddy at L-1. And the slip argument only applies if you think I'm scum for other reasons; I'd argue it's a pretty terrible reason to scumread me, because "I think this could be scum afraid to look bad for putting someone at L-1" is a really, really reasonable argument to make as town, and the only reason you don't see that is because, as both Cheeky and I mentioned, you're projecting your own way of viewing the game of mafia onto me.

Also replace common knowledge there with common knowledge in newbie games, probably. I can think of one real "scumslip" in any game of mafia I've ever played on this site; it was 100% explicitly no-way-around-it a scumslip. It was literally impossible to have been posted if the person in question (my scumbuddy) was town because of the context of the game, and basically would have explicitly outed both of us as scum if anyone had noticed. Nobody noticed it.
