So urist was core!town in my books early on.
Everything urist did UP UNTIL the replacement slots showed up was town. Then he went on a drunken rant (anti-town) but at the end of the day claimed VT.

This anti-town stuff is coming from one of my town reads.

Seeing as most of you are giving my slot the benefit of the doubt 'too scummy to be scum', I see a clear contradiction with that and the Urist L-1 wagon.

Could my reads just be very bad, and urist is actually a filthy treehugger who has infiltrated my town core? Sure, but a redflip would only make me more unbearable as a player because all my further inquisitions would be fueled by the insane WIFOM and trauma of being backstabbed.
this post as a whole actually isn't too bad. I see a little of what im talking about in the above section of it.

It's like on law and order or something where the murder suspect is told their father was killed and they respond with "oh shucks, that's not ideal." It just doesn't seem to match up

Ok, let me try and reclarify.

First off- do you see the position I'm in right now?
My core!town is doing things I can't objectively defend as pro-town.
Which leaves me these options:
1- Keep defending him (and lie through my teeth, AND risk being called out on it)
2- Bye bye, you're scum Urist (which I don't think, and results in losing said core!town)
3- Keep him on as core!town, but... 'ignore' anything they have to say.

Now as for that post- again. I owed it to town (especially FC) to reread Urist's posts.
I can't keep doing 1, which leaves 3.

Ok Vorkuta I know what you're talking about the compromise lynch; problem is, in my case, I'm on Jumble before Yvotta 'cause I have something while I have NOTHING on Yvotta more than "I want to solve this slot before it's too late", but that feeling has trespassed to Jumble too. In that case, my vote is a compromise one because it's not my prefered lynch, but in no case I'm unhappy with it.

Also, duckling already said that he could reevaluate voting Urist, so I'm staying on that wagon and we don't have to compromise anything. My concern on jumping on Jumble or Yvotta is that there's a very high chance that we won't be able to get a claim from either of them because we're too close to the deadline and given their behavior along this long ass day, expecting them to come and claim would be naive. I'm not saying we can't lynch a player without a claim; if we were all agreeing on someone being the scummiest player, this day would have ended long ago and even a claim would've been useless.. But this is clearly not the case: you have a really strong townread on Urist, I have a strong townread on foodcoats, the duck is pushing for a third wagon and we have to lurkers who haven't contributed in a while, all with only 10 hours-ish to get a hammer. You see what I'm saying?

Also I want to thank you for being more respectful on your approach on me this time, it has really helped me to be more invested in this game. I know it was not your intention and I am not in the best spot right now because of surgery.

This is unrelated to the game and our reads on each other or the game whatsoever, just wanted you to know

@Vorkuta
I'm reviewing your posts in game 1895, "Skinks:" viewtopic.php?f=50&t=77567

I realize that was your first game, and you were a replacement. But... what convinced you that you should totally change your town play? In that game you are cooperative, you make reads, you are more solvey. In this game here (pics from schadd's phone) you are being confrontational, divisive and ragey. You resist people attempting to solve the game and call them scummy for trying to solve.

What changed? How are you not scum here?

Not to mention town WON that game... it's like... you decided that your successful approach needed to change towards making way more aggro attacks?

K- perfect we understand each other's points. Now from this:
In post 1083, pinturicchio wrote:you have a really strong townread on Urist, I have a strong townread on foodcoats, the duck is pushing for a third wagon and we have to lurkers who haven't contributed in a while, all with only 10 hours-ish to get a hammer.
I'm not going to let a urist lynch go through (the duck SAID he'll consider, but is pushing a third party).
So I'm trying to encourage you to park your votes someplace more practical.
You aren't going to allow an FC lynch to go through (but realistically, only urist will crusade for it)

10 hours isn't enough time to start a new wagon with half the cast in abstentia.
Resulting in what I view to be as the only possible actionable wagons people are willing to support
-Yyotta (my personal favorite- probably because I tried to interact with her directly 4/5 times and got nothing in return)
-Jumble (the rest of the town's favorite lynch, which by extension means that it's my least favorite )
-Urap2 (pushed by teh_duck, which I'm willing to support as my core!town claim, coupled with my distrust of ID18)

And I'm sorry for the previous assault. I got heated over what was probably just a misinterpretation of word-choice, and then urist came in out of nowhere with... uh... that....

-First game, getting used to the ropes, was shy and kept my inner personality under wraps until I got more comfortable, blah blah blah
-There was ALREADY conflict brewing as I was the REPLACEMENT slot in. I can't mess with 'firmly established' principles.
-This is the 2nd game I'm playing from the beginning (starting from 0) in. I'm playing/experimenting with playstyles, as you can see in my 2nd game where I get NK'd N-1. I think I establish the groundwork for this game's playstyle (as you say, confrontational, divisive, and ragey) there.
-Skinks had this
cool
player called Varsoon in it. He did stuff I really liked. :P

Town won that game (in my eyes) only due to lucky PR claim reads and tracker actions. I call that a win due to 'divine intervention', not due to anything I've done that game. I didn't have a 'successful' approach there at all.

I'll see if I will be here when the duck comes back to see how the Urist thing evolves, but if I go to sleep before, yes, I'll park my vote somewhere else probably.

No hard feelings dude, I've seen worse in this place, much much worse. Hope you never have to deal with that shit.

Oh now that I notice, I'm pretty sure Jumble's vote is on Cheeky and not on me, I don't know why his vote was not counted there. Doesn't matter, but better have the whole picture for next day.

So for Jumble to be scum we have to assume they are not very good at it, right? Why is scum!Jumble not on a wagon?

VOTE: U2

Pint you should hammer.

I know his interaction with me seemed towny but I can see Urist as more earnest - I trust TW on the meta read of Jumble.

U2's predecessor was bad. U2 vanishing and then reappearing when the Urist wagon started to collapse was also bad.

Unfortunately most of my townreads are on his wagon. Two of them because he's acted like an ass. If someone has an invest and U2 flips green it is best if you check Vorkuta or Urist imo.
