You say that yyotta's play is flipped from our last game. If you mean that in that game she was not posting at all and in this game she is posting more than nothing, then I agree.

But the content coming from Yyotta's posts is disconnected from the game - Her initial scum read of scantius makes assertions that are not backed up in the thread, etc.

Other content from her this game seems down right trolly. I'm not saying I can read the slot. I'm saying she's playing a very anti-town game, and I think it would be pro town to remove the slot from the game well before lylo. Obviously, if we have a super scummy candidate at the end of the day I would rather lynch that. Absent that I'll be pushing for a policy lynch.

That said, I don't want to get bogged down in a discussion of Yyotta until a) she starts contributing in a meaningful way or b) the deadline is closer.

I spent some time thinking about this, specifically because you pointed out that a policy lynch discussion may not be valuable right now, but I really disagree with you here and think it's important we discuss Yyotta earlier.

Yyotta is a player who just always looks scummy. Her posts are cryptic and ineffable, and she generally spends more time defending herself than doing anything remotely resembling scum hunting. I absolutely agree that this is not pro-town behaviour, because until Yyotta learns more or changes her playstyle, she doesn't contribute much to town.

However, I think that the evidence actually points to Yyotta being town here. I am basically 100% relying on Yyotta's other games, because her actual posts are largely indecipherable. But if you compare her activity trend with a known alignment and then look at her game so far here, she is playing more as she does as town than she does as scum.

With this in mind, and the fact that 7/9ths of the time she is town, a policy lynch is not just "not pro-town," but possibly anti-town. Yyotta is so easy to lynch and there are already multiple people who have said they would be willing to lynch her; it's ridiculously easy for scum to blend into a policy lynch, meaning we'd enter D2 with almost no valuable information.

I said above that my general feeling toward lynch the lurker/policy lynching is definitely changing as I play more games, but in the case of Yyotta, I don't like the idea at all. I tend to think that Elements' suggestion that lurkers should be sorted out on D2 is much better in this case. At that point we should have better reads on people through voting patterns and whatever nighttime activities occur.

To be honest, the Doge is (partially) right. I haven't been paying enough attention and have been making half-arsed posts. I didn't want to become overly obsessed and aggressive like last time, but I guess I haven't been playing well this time either.

I can see why the wagon's on me; I'm currently the most "scummy" (I see why) and we need a lynch before the deadline. I'll understand if the D1 lynch's on me, but it wouldn't be correct.

Honestly, I wasn't sure of my reads until now (my reads were either lean-town or null).

Doge's Post 323 seems fine from a glance. Pushing the biggest suspect before the deadline, adding flare for reasons I don't know. Though the more I've read it, the more it feels like Scum!Doge coming out of lurk to push a easy lynch to earn Town Points than Town!Doge really believing me to be scum. The flare doesn't help either, I'd feel calling someone a fungus feels more like a projection than anything else.
