also, i recommend everyone (if they already haven't) to read Assassins in the Palace II. it was a good game and has a lot of useful info about AITP in general.

heh, if that would help me get the title, but i doubt it. also thanks for putting up the right link . but seriously, town made some crucial mistakes in that game, which clearly pointed out the kings to the assassins. we don't want that in this game.PokerFace wrote:1. dahill - Get an avatar. ASSASSIN!
Oh shit!
*runs away*
*jumps in hay*
He's over there!
God dang it...
*runs through a merchant stand*
*pant pant pant* Okay uh uh, where to hide, AH here we go!
*Blends into a mafia game*
Uh..Random Vote: dahill1For not getting an avatar.
Damn, he got away! *walks off*

Seriously, seriously if you haven't played Assassin's Creed yet, you're a sad person indeed, and it's also for the 360! The Ps3 is crap. A dead laptop is a better paper-weight...[/referring to own laptop].-

this is :goodposting". i recommend the jester and everyone else who doesnt understand the speedlynch to read thisPokerFace wrote:To those still without a clue, please read the other forum runnings of AiTP. AiTP is not Mafia. In mafia speed lynch is bad! Town has no info there and gets no info. In AiTP speed lynch is good. Town has all the info and must not let the assassin gain the info. If you signed up for a game with logic and good scumhunting, I am sorry this is not that type of game. When Thesp suggests you read the AiTP wiki in the queue, you should! Start wagons on those you have some inclination they are assassin but do your best to hide the bulk of the inclination and logic. For revealing the bulk can reveal the king and we don't want that.
PS. jtdyer, nice!-

yes, i understand how town should play, but that does not change whether i am assassin or guard or king. with my last statement, i meant that any protown player would accept ("go along with") being lynched.Korlash wrote:"I think Dahill should be the next lynched. He obviously understands how town should play this game so as the assassin he would want to take cahrge and appear the most pro town. He has also stated that at least 4 people in the game are obviously not pro town with his last post. He also assumed a person abotu to be lynched would be "for the plan" and, he is the only one without an avatar. So by lynching him we get a pretty good chance of scum death, plus we solve that problem. A win/win!"
Can anyone make something even remotely acceptable for shamrock... seriously... i think the main reason he is being lynched is simply becuase he was the one with the most votes at the time this plan "began" and uh... if we follow this strategy for choosing lynce, the assassin will never die as his vote will always make someone else have a bit more votes. If you understand what I'm saying...
the reasons you stated for shamrock are pretty much true. i voted for him in attempt to start a speedlynch bandwagon. also, this isnotthe strategy for the other days. it only mainly works d1-

Okay look. We all know who the king is, right?Voodo wrote:I don't believe in starting a bandwagon against someone we have no idea of their alignment is a good idea, even for the sake of speedlynching. That's why I voted Oman, he understands the game and is trying to use it to his advantage (that is, if he's the assassin)
The longer we talk, the more information we give the asssasin. The easier it is for him to hit the king on his suicide.
Unvote Vote Voodoo
For that reason Voodoo is hindering the lynch, thus he is my current #1 scum suspect.unvote vote voodo
hey korlash, at least this one has some reason to it..-

the point is to not claim at all...Korlash wrote:;_; You make me proud there Oman... I agree Farside is someone to look into, the blatant wagoning just to fit in is enough for that. I think Shamrock needs to jump in right about now with something to say. And I wouldn't mind hearing JT's input on current events. I'm sure Jester will stop on within a day if he can find access but I doubt he'll provide anythign useful.
Also whats the big freaking deal abotu caiming guard? what else can I claim? If I claim assassin I most likely get lynched, and if I claim king I get mod killed. AND if I claim doc... well then you call me names and laugh at me...
I mean seriously, without specualtion on the kings role, what does claiming do? by yoru logic if the king claimed guard, then we freaking win automatically! Cool... we found a loop hole! Sham claim guard, we will win if you do.-

jdodge quote from AITP 2
this was after an assassin claimed guardJDodge wrote:The most pro-town thing you can do at this point is vote yourself - if you are town, you have outed yourself as a guard and are thus useless to us. If you are scum, you're dying anyways because of the first. Sorry, try again next game.
also, contentful posts are actually harmful in this game. just keep that in mind-

WIFOM, and what Poker saidOman wrote:No I realised speedlynching is bad because if we speedlynch, then all the guards go and the assasin has a smaller pool to work from. If I was assasin, I would've riden the "speed lynch ftw" thing until dahil and korlash were dead.vote Oman
claiming guard by Korlash was a stupid move..anyone who claims in AITP should be automatically lynched like no matter what-

no, i do have reasons for voting for you. you're right, my logic would be bad if i had no reasons. anyways, this pretty much sums it up.
also you said this for pretty much no apparent reason which piqued my interest.PokerFace wrote:Setting up lynches ahead of time, starting a bunch of wagons (The second assassin wagon hoped insane style in the large AiTP2), giving suspicion lists (see the first assassin in AiTP1), they are all bad. Mistakes worse than claiming guard. Think about it! I shouldn't have to explain it to you. And talk about flip flop. You are first to realize speed lynching is good. Then you say its bad. You've got to go.
