I may have over exaggerated with the I'll be conftown thing. I would assume my target would have me a conftown but if they were outed then I assume my target would be high on the NK list. I'll take the shade for the conftown comment because I didn't think it through during my exchange with Enter and now I have to deal with the consequences.

@mcqueen: I'm gonna say something stupid and likely to hit you as scummy, but I will say it anyway: I don't want to lynch BEF regardless of his alignment. I've seen him lynched early often enough as either alignment I'd actually want him to be alive a bit longer in this game (as long as he doesn't fake claim or fake guilty anyone)

Don't tempt me. I'm "trying" to put those things behind me but something keeps motivating me. I promise I will try not to do it this game. Promise.

Erm.. I take it you're asking about the game I was modding? NVM. I'll answer both:

In a game I was a Town Gunsmith BEF faked a Day Cop. He was actually a "N8 Vig" and it was a mini, so definitely a named Townie only meant to be a Miller to me.

In OK2 he was a PGO, but he didn't claim. Instead he faked a guilty on another slot (was a town player).

Btw, so far I've only seen him claim/fake claim as Town. As scum he was lynched on D1 for PT slipping (posted in the main thread thinking he was posting in the scum PT).

My evaluation here is

BEF is definitely Town

, regardless of how anyone views his play.

My experience with BEF was OK2, but A50 summed that up.
Otherwise, we just played in a game where BEF fake-claimed 1-shot Neopolitan when he was actually VT and I scumread that because I was universal backup and thought the mod wouldn't do me dirty by including 1-shot roles.

Anyway, I think it's interesting that I called BEF was a neighborizor, though I'm sure Percival will color that as me 'giving him an out' or some shit.

my basic feeling is that this is too wacky/funky/nuanced of a role for him to make up without someone like {varsoon/a50} feeding him the specifics; i think a fake-claim like this as scum is pretty much out of his range and comes from town most of the time. there is some chance that he's scum with one of the two of you but i don't find that super likely rn

ie the way he claimed it seems town to me; i would be pretty surprised if he, as scum, came up with this as a fake role without any assistance given the hood and today's interactions.

thinking more mechanically tho i'm wondering if this makes sense with what's been flipped and claimed thus far. could a scum motivator make sense here?

ok let me think that through: he's a scum whatever with a day neighborizing motivator fake-claim .... that's a really freaking bizarre fake-claim honestly; like why claim that at this stage and not just like day cop where he can fake a result or something; neighborizing motivator over a few days will need to be verified in the form of people claiming he used his action on them

actually now that i think about it @bef did you try to use your ability yesterday?
and in the hood, he claims to conftown himself the next day based on this claim, which feels kinda risky to do if he has buddies who know the fake-claim? like that's now how i'd handle this fake-claim as scum at all really

like i feel like he might get coached as scum here needing to claim something and his actions don't really feel like that's happening.

and like if he's a scum neighborizing motvator with a town neighborizing motivator fake-claim, his whole interactions and claim and hood thing feel too *messy* to be coming from scum honestly

I don't particularly care how it "feels" to you. This player slot is reluctant to give details to a claim when pressed which I find highly suspect, so I'm going to pursue it until satisfied. You're free to do something you find useful in the meantime.

Neighborizing motivator is weird sounding but very easily confirmable. So I dont have an issue with the claim itself because we can pin it down regardless, I dont think it's worth fretting over "does the mod really assign this fake claim/does scum really make this up?", because that's not going to be very fruitful.

My issue instead is that

1. BEF chose someone (chara) who was not able to be targeted, thus preventing us from confirming his ability, even though chara claimed ascetic in their first post.

2. I admittedly dont know much about this role but I dont see it being a town only role, so even if confirmed we wind up stuck with "role=/=alignment"? I dont see why it couldn't be a scum role that enables team mates oh wait that doesnt make any sense with the neighborizer aspect they're already in a pt
