I'm just really uncomfortable with this game state because of my lack of actual scum reads

and it's hard for me to progress from there because a lot of the people I would want to talk to either aren't caught up or are straight lurking

so I'm trying to spend some time reassessing some of the middling slots but I'm finding it really hard

I’m tending to agree with 136 that one of RWBY or GoT is scum...this did not seem like TvT to me.

Brown eyes is town- I see the case that you’ve made for sky being scum. Who else are you reading as scum and if sky is scum, who are likely partners? Also, any other thoughts on the RWBY/GoT 1v1?

Damn is town- in regards to 453, McQueen and I are still trying to figure out our posting style so there is a bit of a learning curve...I haven’t been in a hydra in awhile, but we’re getting it together.

I don’t feel GoT has put enough effort into this game. Heck they even admit it in several posts including 524. They are null with a slight scum lean for me

Nom- how’s the search for humans going? Not sure if the human seeking character in undertale is good or bad but this slot seems town

Papyrus- town I believe I’m his 586. It came across as genuine to me. I am unwilling to vote this slot today

Pink- their posts are just like their avatar- fluff, fluff, fluff - heavily leaning scum here

Reasonably Clever- probably my strongest town read. Cerb is a strong player and a great asset when he’s town so I’m glad he’s on our side! I see you don’t have a vote out...who are you most likely to place a vote on atm?

Roster- hated his entrance and almost over-eager reads list. Came across more as scum trying to seem town rather than actually town and the rest of his posts have been pretty fluffy...not as sure yet about this slot but feeling null lean scum

Dreamers- reading super scummy to me. Town Mastina would have solved this by now! Prob scummiest slot in the thread atm

I mean, I'm deducing that he probably plays this way as town, because it's unlikely that he'd play this way as scum if he didn't do it as town.

Sky, SS, and HL all strike me as rather lazy pushes/votes. I mean, it is D1, so it isn't like pushes ever actually have reasons behind them, but the...lack of fluidity, I guess, strikes me as unusual for D1? Does anybody else feel like that?

And before you ask, no, I do not have better suggestions for probscum based on any behaviors displayed today...just...the way th e wagons have formed strikes an uneasy chord with me.

I also fundamentally disagree with the idea that the onus lies on everyone else to explain why they're townreading any particular slot, in the absence of anything resembling a smoking gun for any given slot. Most of the game is town. The onus is on the people who want a lynch to go through to provide compelling arguments for why that lynch is the best, NOT encourage town apathy/laziness by suggesting that "oh hey, you might as well just jump on this wagon because it's D1 and you don't have a defensible reason to townread anyone".

Stop hiding behind this notion that people need to explain their scumreads more than they have - everybody has gone in depth on scumreads on the wagons in question. Instead of asking for people to take a step back, is there anything you can point to that makes the wagons bad to you? Who would you rather lynch? And yes you really need to have an answer for that question this far into the game
