read on me: would you mind talking about that again when you're back? the process of "not townreading Chara" to realizing i was on Smile, to now townreading me. i found it helpful last game.

Fuscezu and Clearly were both at two votes. if we assume both are town, it's weird that Smile picked Fuscezu over Clearly because Clearly was more mislynchable and being pushed by elephant and skitter. however, Clearly was townreading Smile, and Smile was townrearing Clearly. scum alienating a supporter like that isn't good when trying to dodge the lynch, especially since it could result in Clearly's vote on Fuscezu moving to Smile. plus, it would pretty much spew Clearly as town if Smile reversed the read they had there in that position. i'm pretty sure Smile is experienced enough to know that. (or at least Beauty was)

so that's why i don't find Smile's choice in push to be particularly damning for Clearly.

pedit: i'm glad you didn't, because faking a guilty sucks.

a) it's a fruit vendor; it basically exists to go 'hey she did something last night!' and hopefully the person on the other end claims it. like i wouldn't send it to someoen i'm scumreading because, like, they might have some nefarious reason for not claiming it, or to someone i'm not sure would actually claim it, but other than that, i'd basically send it to someoe who:
a) i thought was more likely than not town
b) would claim it
c) wouldn't die
and you fit all three criteria

b) we've talked about this before but you're a read that for soem reason takes a while to click. up until then i'm paranoid, afterwards i'm not. that's just kinda how it works. it's kinda hard to articulate where the paranoia starts or stops or why but that's just kinda how i read you

i was paranoid and no, i didn't realize you were on smile. once you pointed out that you were, i felt like that didn't really feel like a bussing vote from you (or, more precisely i guess, the way you were trying to get towncred for the vote felt a little ~overt~ and i'm not sure you would have pushed for the cred that hard or that confidently as scum) and then the paranoia switched off and it's stayed off

c) i can see ur logic wrt clearly. idk, i do think that the defense on smile's side looked kinda partner-y. i also htink that the fucezu vote spewed them town

b) i bus and distance better than this, thank you; if i were partners with him i wouldn't have a half-assed distancing like this, knowing that i'd like bad if he flipped, esp. since he was just a goon. i know that in most scumteams i need to set myself to go for endgame if i want to win - and when i knwo what people are going to flip it's pretty easy to make myself look good afterwards.

c) i'm not convinced that tris is town

b) actually, i thought your distancing was pretty good. elephant pointed it out. i know you wouldn't want to straight bus Smile until you thought you needed to. but you did have a lot of interactions that looked good.
i also don't believe it would be possible to know Smile was going to flip until that point.

c) this sounds like a fun thing to talk about when you're back.

b) if i were distancing with smile it wouldnt' look like this, this isn't good for my standards lol (i'm proud of my banner! and how i won it too!)

i feel like i was right on my initial assessment of town Clearly and got paranoid from her claiming tone.
i'll look those up when i have the time. i was more wanting a description of how you perceive your distancing prowess, however

when i know how people will flip it's *really* easy to setup interactions going all the way bakc to like p1 that will make me look good afterwards; i know how to wod interactions and setup votes and word votes that make them look very natural and very not bussing-y, and i put a lot of work into that

if i were scum with smile you would not have had all this ammunition to go after me with after he flipped

the place wher ei called out his fucezu vote as survivalistic but didn't vote - if i knew he were flipping scum i would have voted him there 4000% so we could not have this convo now

RCE is a long time scumread, and theres evidence to support putting pressure on it. Like his wagon. if you agree that tris, fuscezu, Skitter, and Clarity, andor irre are townish then why isnt the town wagon more likely on a scum?

don't really think i had much of a chance of winning this one mechanically .... eventually someone was going to put together that everyone who got fruit died, so i felt kinda boxed-in by my role; i didn't really feel like there was much i could claim that would be 'safe' so to speak

funkybike suggested claiming that i had gotten a fruit n0, which i didn't think of, but i still think that wouldnt 'have helped me super much
