Sitting in the passenger seat of his company car, Boon fumbled with a map. "All right, take a left up here... and bingo."

Tchill pulled over and the two of them got out of the car and walked hesitantly up to the building in front of them. Tchill arched an eyebrow. "You sure this is the place?"

"Positive." came the reply. "This building is registered to the Snuggly Duckling Corporation, which is a shell company for Something_Smart Evil Incorporated. Whoever's in here may be exactly the lead we need."

"All right, if you insist." Tchill stepped up to knock on the door, but Boon stopped him and instead broke it down with one swift kick. Tchill gaped, but Boon just shrugged and ran inside.

The two of them entered to a nearly empty room. Clearly, something had once gone on here, but the room had recently been almost completely vacated. What remained was a chair and a desk with some documents on it... and a shadowy figure furiously shoving the documents into a shredder. Upon catching sight of them, the figure immediately dropped everything and darted out the back door.

"After them!" Boon yelled, and charged out the door, with a confused but obedient Tchill close behind him. They chased through the darkened city streets, down narrow alleys, across parking lots littered with trash, and toward the waterfront, until they reached the dock and watched the figure run out onto a pier.

"They've... made a... fatal... mistake," commented Boon, panting. "They're... cornered. Let's... get to the bottom of this... once and for all." Slowly, the pair walked down the pier toward the figure. "And now," Boon addressed the figure at last. "Tell me everything you know about Something_Smart."

For the first time, the Asuka's face became visible, and she cracked a wry smile. "Over my dead body."

She waited a moment for the words to sink in. Then she jumped.

The agent ran through the empty halls of Something_Smart Evil Incorporated. All he had to do was download some files from the server room and get them back to Boon, and the corrupt executive and his avian henchman would be taken down for good.

As he reached the room he sought, he hurriedly scanned a stolen keycard and darted inside, searching for a place to connect his flash drive.

He released the door, and it should have swung closed, but no sound was heard. He was too stressed to notice this, however. If only he had...

No sooner had he inserted the drive into the computer than he felt the brush of feathers on his shoulder. "Excuse me, sir. You're going to have to come with me."

The next morning, the newspapers told the whole story.

A badly beaten corpse was found in a back alley, a few blocks from Something_Smart's monolithic headquarters. Through dental records, the body was identified as Jesus Louisus. Fowl play suspected.

Did anyone get notified of me visiting them last night? I'm not revealing whom I targeted so that they won't fake-cofirm. I am am Even-Night Loyal Loud Visitor though (N2 I targeted Belladonna but she died on the same night ). My target from last night is still alive though.
