1. Days will be 14 days. Nights will be 48 hours. Prods every 48 hours, 3 prods is a force replace.

This game has been given a setup that incorporates either one row or one column. The remaining six roles have be filled in by Mafia Goons and Vanilla Townies appropriately, to create a 2-Mafia and 7-Town setup. For example Row 1 (1 Jailkeeper, 1 Vanilla Townie, 1 Mafia Goon) would add an additional 5 Vanilla Townies and 1 Mafia Goon, for a total setup of 1 Jailkeeper, 6 Vanilla Townies, and 2 Mafia Goons.

*Roleblocker will take precedence over jailkeeper when resolving night actions should that apply.

Welcome to Mafia Scum!

This is a newbie setup, designed to ease you into the complex and constantly evolving community we have here. I hope you all have a fun time and enjoy yourselves.

You may have noticed that some players have an additional tag behind their name. SE denotes that a player has played at least two games on site. IC denotes that a player has volunteered to answer theory questions about the game of mafia, acting as a teacher to guide you even as they play towards their own win condition, and should follow the guidelines found here: Being a good IC. Please note that the alignments of these players are just as random as everyone else's.

In addition to your handy-dandy IC and the other experienced players in the game, you may want to look at some completed games, our Wiki, or the Mafia Discussion Forums. This is awesome, and I encourage you to check out any and all of these sources.

Please note that all sitewide rules are in effect, including those prohibiting talking about ongoing games anywhere other than in the game in question. If at any time you have questions about the game, please feel free to PM me. I can't help with strategy, but I'm more than happy to explain how things work!

This setup isn't great but it's kinda better balanced than the current newbie setup, I trust wgeurts to win via dayplay and kinda trust this town to implode within reason :shrug:

The two problems with this setup are the BP and the follow the cop strategy.

BP just isn't very fun, nor does it demonstrate the usual PR play.

Follow the cop is the point of RC's claim strat. You claim BP/NoBP, and then you claim tracker if there's no BP. That way doc can free range target the outed tracker and scum can't get a shot on a conftown PR slot.

I've gone on record a couple times that I think it's an easily exploited strat for scum, however, since if Goon/Goon you can have a relatively safe BP claim 50% of the time. (Cop 9-er, this setup, has the out of "I was doc fakeclaiming BP to duck the nightkill!" that people who aren't on a scumteam with me could use.) Even if you don't have a safe claim, you make the weaker of the scum make the ballsy ass claim, and they can ride at least a couple of dayphases on that. If there's a direct CC, it's from a doc or a BP and you're in tracker territory. You make the BP claim late in the order of BP's to try to cut down on CC's, and even then you have a 50/50 of getting that town lynch through. Doc claim is still a 50/50 at best, but in the worst case scenario, you get to shoot the doc while safe from incriminating tracker results.

It's ballsy, but I think there's enough there to make RC's strat not explicitly the best plan when people like me or FL are in the game.

tbf, by the old metrics she actually is an SE. SE used to be 3 games on site in any queue in which you didn't replace before dying, and I think she has at least that.
