Greeting tell is a new one to me. Literally just "scum feels pressured to post *something* but doesnt want to post meaningful stuff, so greetings are a scumtell?"
(Plastic pinging town off these. Good first impression)Current Losing Streak: 4 (record: 9)
Probable record holder for most games played on site before managing to win one!-

Oh right, uhhh Brooklyn? They had good eats the one time I was there and it feels like a bigger version of my city w more stuff to doSpeaking of weird questions, I’d appreciate it if everyone would answer this:
If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
For me, it’s somewhere in the north, where you get decent snow. Nebraska, maybe?
Thanks,
JB-

Someone did an analysis in MD that opening with greetings is more likely to come from scum than town or something. In post 277, Phillammon wrote:Greeting tell is a new one to me. Why did you take back your drew read?In post 171, implosion wrote:Actually I take back that drew is a good shot for scum. Persivul and thespio are. Persivul's depth of interaction with the game is pretty lacking so far. His questions and such are kind of surface level blasé observations.-

(this is not something I truly believe outside of newbies, however; it was mostly a joke)In post 279, Elastic Plastic wrote:

But you don't have town reads on Sakura or Pers......the other people on the thespio wagon? In post 285, Elastic Plastic wrote:Hmm; I actually thought they had posted more than they had. I'll take that back for now but I'm still getting gut town pings from their vote on Thespio I think?-

Aye, if they don't follow up on it then scumread them, but for now I'm pretty sure it's NAI.In post 263, Chemist1422 wrote:
I could see it in that manner but imo it could just as easily be a setup for questioning, only reason to think it wasn't is that there was no followup but they haven't posted since then.In post 262, James Brafin wrote:
I believe that to a number of people (including me) this was an attempt at shade and to create a reason to get on this wagon, which was the leading wagon but had very little foundation. In post 151, Thespio wrote:So Phillammom, you seem odd... your ISO isnt the best-

Spangled, explained in 203, but basically they're doing a lot of acting like there's nothing to work from when a fair few people are making useful noise to generate reads based off. See 159, and more recently the post about slow opens rather than... a useful contribution. This suggests to me they wantspecificpeople to be making noise to me, which is odd at best for town.Current Losing Streak: 4 (record: 9)

No. I'd rather you share any reads that have developed naturally, and I think that the fact you haven't developed, or at least shared, reads on several players really weird, particularly given your calls for noise. Persivul in particular is conspicuous in their absence* from your ISO, for example. (Which reminds me, haven't shared my feelings on them yet- was looking a bit scummy, but 214 forward give a really townish impression)
*well. aside from quoting one line of theirs in relation to thespioCurrent Losing Streak: 4 (record: 9)

What did you find scummy about their earliest posts; which ones in particular did you dislike? In post 292, Phillammon wrote:No. I'd rather you share any reads that have developed naturally, and I think that the fact you haven't developed, or at least shared, reads on several players really weird, particularly given your calls for noise. 199 through 201 and to a lesser extent 58, though on reflection I may just be disliking the former because they're pointed at me and I feel they're unfair. 199 I responded to as such at the time.Current Losing Streak: 4 (record: 9)

Honestly the entire clumsy "baiting" thing with James rubbed me the wrong way. I get why trying to elicit an emotional response is useful for scumhunting, but it was... almost performatively transparent.Current Losing Streak: 4 (record: 9)

Expand on your thoughts on 201, please — I just felt like that was someone doing a meta-read on someone else.In post 296, Phillammon wrote:199 through 201 and to a lesser extent 58, though on reflection I may just be disliking the former because they're pointed at me and I feel they're unfair. 199 I responded to as such at the time.
