Can someone kinda explain this to me like im stupid?

I read the rules, but wasnt clear on it in the end.

We vote, and then the person who got 1st is safe in the following vote, but gives immunity from the current vote to someone depending on relation to vote winner and people available.

When does the vote for 2nd come out, is it possible to the winner to pick the 2nd and save them?

I was assuming the shared row/column immunity applied to the following round rather than the current one but I'm not sure. Good question

I think that's how it works, that the person who chooses where to share immunity can't get someone out of being eliminated.

Winner gives immunity for the following round.
Choosing row or column happens after the elimination is announced.
