So...random WIFOM. I’m getting the sense you are massively out of touch with the game and if you were not conftown I’d find it very concerning

No shit, Sherlock.

I'm really not wrong about Pine though. This setup is so scumsided he doesn't have to be proactive to win, so he can (and will) just be annoying.

It's really not scumsided. We eliminated a lot of the major Town powers early (Hider, Vig, Bodyguard), many of the others were used to our advantage (Desperado, Hider and Vig again), avoided a bunch of pitfalls (we identified the Watcher trap N2 iirc), identified the Masons almost immediately, and conned you people into working against your own self-interest.

Despite all of that, we're DROWNING in confirmed or near-confirmed Town, and if not for one Aristophanes-level deepwolf, would lose this game HARD.

I mean, hider's results weren't reliable, given the commuter, the jailkeeper, and the likely strongman, bodyguard is barely a problem, and desperado, vig, and masons make a total of four conftown which is laughable for a game this big.

The masons were never not going to be outed because the format of the game highly incentivized everyone shutting up and doing what Alisae said. Vig you presumably had investigative roles to help you with, and desperado's one-shot anyway.

What jailkeeper? That was a 1-shot fruit.

Dude, seriously, you're prejudging the setup before it's actually revealed. It's not Jingle's fault that we're playing a mechanically brilliant game and Town squandered its advantages.

I don't understand why you put so much emphasis on the fact that you're playing in good faith and then you say that. Like this setup isn't remotely balanced, unless there are two cops who are hiding and claimed VT during massclaim.

The mechanics are cool, that is true. But mechanics and balance are separate. Town used its resources; those resources didn't confer an advantage.

Town used its resources ineffectively. That isn't the balance's problem.
