Something sticky latched onto her weapon and pulled it into the dark alley. She turned toward it, having never been without her trusty blade before, and went to call out to the perpetrator when she noticed it standing there just out of the light. The murmurs behind her didn't break her attention. This thing was no larger than anything else the hero had slain in previous adventures... or so she'd thought.

She thought she was being fooled by some illusionist or worse, but the goo latching onto her chest as she spoke sure felt real. Then the hard tug lifted her like a paperweight. Everything went silent. The townsfolk looked on -- some in horror, some in glee -- for the next minute felt almost as long as a lifetime. Then her body was rolled out into the light, now wrapped in the same white horror that grabbed her and the weapon not long before. Nobody knew what to say, no, but they all had a similar thought.

I've yet to find a replacement for Hectic.
If one cannot be found by deadline, it'll be extended by 12 hours.
If one cannot be found after that, I will remove the role from play.

She inked her letter as if all of Cobble stood or fell on its words. Her fingers fluttered the calligraphy beautifully. It was of great import to her, as always, to make certain all knew her status. Reasons like these were why she'd write in the first place. Nobody ever takes a woman as gorgeous as her seriously unless she can quip just as well with her quill as she can with her tongue. A smirk crossed her cheeks as she finished; unfortunately, she wasn't alone.

The great deathbringer thought it heard the target speaking to someone, or something, but it was just the red-haired doe-eyed girl in the field of flowers picking away at the daisies. The armor clanked as it approached but still it caught her off guard. She stood up and almost ran into it when turning back toward the town walls.

The fair Elven woman stumbled backward, falling to her backside with hands in the air. She screamed. The behemoth in black raised its sword and took a surprise glob of mud to the face. A Grippli man sprang into action with a leap between the monstrous swordsman and the fire-haired girl.

he warned while turning to look over his shoulder.

Get out while you still can, Elf. I'll take it from he--

The dark sword plunged into his chest. She shrieked and stumbled further backward at the sight of such a thing before finally fleeing. The heavily-armored brute pulled the frogman into his blade even more, the expressionless face draining of color as the black knight wiped the mud from its helmet.

A giant snake looked on from the shadows as the lifeless body thudded onto the dirt. Meanwhile, a man in the tower etched a second hash mark after what he'd seen. The ivory-skinned girl ran and ran and ran almost all the way home before colliding face first into another guard. He tried and failed to calm her before rushing to investigate whatever had her so worked up.

The Half-Elf sauntered through The Rusty Dragon -- as he often does -- when he was stopped.

A sly smirk crossed the Half-Elf's face, but he was interrupted by the man before he could reply.

The large axe on the brute's back seemed to be all the exclamation needed. The Half-Elf obliged.

The much larger man chuckled as he finished his ale. He waved the barkeep down for another. Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, another man raised his glass as somebody else walked through the tavern in search for someone.

To your best efforts. May they be fruitful this night.

That's all the well-armored, white-haired woman needed to hear. For some reason she'd double her efforts this evening. Even she doesn't understand why.

Somehow, the particularly portly fellow knew how to find the shadows just right. The man with a massive shield stopped a Half-Dragon in its tracks.

The two would do battle then and there with neither seeming to get the upper hand on the other until the scream of an Orc broke their concentration. Off in the distance, the battle-hardy Orc would take a flaming black sword through the back from a pretty, if off-kilter, Aasimar woman surrounded by floating, furless... dogs? This would immediately grab the attention of the town guard all too late. This stopped the fight between the man and the half-blood as both tucked away in different directions immediately afterward.

The spritely little Halfling girl rushed through the city streets. She bumped into a dark-haired Human woman and got whatever she was holding in the goblet all over her new shirt.

Before she could continue offering help in cleaning this mistake, the little one shrugged it off and kept on with her otter in tow. They had something of equal effort as it was important to give to someone special. The Human smiled. Was it a mistake?

I really wish they wouldn't have killed formerfish. I didn't know chemist but that probably means he was a pretty big asset. Why couldn't they have killed someone else?
