I don't see anything wrong with it - it's not unusual to keep your reads for post lynch in this game

Still more likely than 13v1 where those conditions are the same. Town is much more likely to win by lynching scum D1 in this setup. If we let someone powerlynch their scumread then we're all better off for it, no?

It happened once in 5 games, so 20% town winrate on D1.

We will lynch someone, don't you worry about that, thing is that chances for our lynch to flip red is slim. Also, you have to consider how likely it is for 8 other people to agree with your scumread? Not likely, therefore you can just wait for post lynch and submit your scumread without care about other people - you don't need majority, you don't need consensus, only to guess scum correctly and you have scum flip to go on

I will try a bit different way to explain you - people don't really care for who gets lynched as long as they aren't the lynch. Logic behind this is simple - why do I have try to convince 8 people that I'm right, when I can just submit name after lynch happens and I have more info and being active will attract attention, which might lead to your lynch - being lynched is game over, cause you can't submit name afterwards. That said most people will do nothing and only post lynch we will get some quality discussion

Getting scumreads out before lynch doesn't give any advantages, we'll have 48 hours after flip and flee for a discussion, so alerting scum about your suspicion before they flee isn't best idea, if they aren't getting lynched. Getting out your townreads is different matter and you should do that, if your strong townread is getting wagoned

If you believe that you can get X lynched, go for it, but in reality people are more interested to lynch some scummy lynchbait instead of some not so obvious scum. Now, if you think that lynching X isn't realistic, you better not tip them off with your scumread - they might flee and you have nothing to submit. To be clear, I'm not telling you to do this, I'm telling you that this is how people play this game, so don't go after every person that claims they going do little to nothing, most likely they are town anyway

Sure. But I specifically used the "look how hard I am approach" to try and get people to think I wasn't scum.

Counter counter point...the town in all those games had correctly identified one of the scum players early, and partially rung that player up.

So I mean, even if your approach is because you are town thinking about the end game, it is suboptimal.

I don't have a solid read on when a wagon is in dangerous territory for a game of this size. I've only played Micro-sized games in the last like 2-3 years. And I think Chemist is the same. I thought L-3 was generally considered risky in Larges.

People to try to dig into me a lot more and to initially try to recover by reading the people around the hammer and working from there, then to eventually peter out as the amount of 'lurkers' are too high

With 1 scum in 14 people you can't apply standard thinking. Digging into you wasn't possible either with how little you've posted, so choice was snipe some lurker and pray for the best or just go with some gutread and that's pretty much shows in who was accused
