actually it was for funsies and I didn't know it was a creature meme tbf, I remembered mena opening with that in caps on nomination mafia and I wanted to shitpost
I've made a case. I'm less attached to that title and more opposed to Sorting Hat. I don't think NSG should have a title primarily based off of her giving out hats with sorting as kind of an afterthought.
I feel like she deserves something that does her justice.
2019 stats: Town WR 76.7%, overall WR 81.667%, 1 scum defeat involving a major mod error in lylo vs 8 scum wins.
i think sorting hat sounds most concerned with, well, sorting. the hat thing is a fun extra, if anything.
i also disagree with Jingle's reasons for disliking Princess Paragon, however, since there's an argument to be made for a princess that's won her own title.
"Sibling," Farkran asked, starting slowly.
"The CORE is full of lasers, and Chemist1422's entire existence depends on her eye. If she looks into a laser, she will almost certainly die. Did you think about that?"
"Oh yes, my brother. I love thinking about that."
uh what if it's just Schrodinger's Wolf? I feel like the "Schrodinger" already conveys the ambiguity about dann's scumplay that "deep" is doing. So "deep" might be redundant and obscuring ok wordplay.
(And is dann a physics guy or is that just what came to mind?)

I think "Schrodinger Deepwolf" might still be more relatable about the whole references than "Schrodinger Wolf" even if objectively speaking the later is semantically nicer.
Schrodinger Deepwolf is longer and rolls a bit less smoothly off the tongue, but I think the "Deepwolf" part is important to make the thing more relatable to the motivations for the nom.
I could go for removing the "Deep" part but I think it's a vital part of the title even if a bit redundant.

I thought I said all this already. Regardlealss I wholly agree
"Schrodinger Wolf" can kind of give the impression more of "You never know if Dann is scum or not until you see the flip" that although similar isn't exactly what we might be gunning for here in my opinion.
The point we're looking for in my opinion is that Dann can be town read but there is that "I town read Dann but he might be a deepwolf".
"Schrodinger Wolf" directly more references someone you aren't sure about the alignment until the flip, that although like I said it's a similar concept, I don't think it's exactly what we were going for.
I think rather than "You never know Dann alignment" as "Schrodinger Wolf" might indicate, the pun is "Dann is probably town but you never know, he might be a deepwolf". Therefore you never know for certain if he's the "deepwolf" or not until he's flipped, rather than not having a solid read on him (since I think most of the time he's just town).
Actually the more I think about it the more I disagree about only "Schrodinger Wolf".
It gives the impression that Dann is someone you can't get a firm read on and I don't think that's true.
The title gimmick should probably be "you can't be confident that dann isn't the super secret deepwolf!" rather than "you can't be confident about Dann alignment"
Schrodinger's deepwolf is indeed redundant but I think it's ok for the title to be redundant just to fit a site meme/tradition/inside joke in.
"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"

Agreed. I'm not opposed to Schrodinger's Wolf, but I don't feel it has the whole of the meaning.

Planning on writing a larger post on the subject tomorrow. (Have been a bit V/LA this weekend.)
Basic response: every title proposed has some good reasons for it, every title proposed has some criticism for it, thinking of moving forward with most of them and leaving the choice to Dannflor, but like I said, want to give a better post explaining it tomorrow when I have more time to do so.
