This elements push is one of the laziest ones I've seen in a while. Can anyone even bring up the thing he did that was actually scummy, or are y'all all riding the tone of what you remember of this game you've likely only read nearly 10% of and momentum of the wagon?

It's the things he hasn't done, ie anything whatsoever that looks town motivated.

The list of players that fit this billet is ridiculously long, this is an excuse for a lazy push.

Elements, if you're hired muscle why didn't you attempt to do your job? Even a null lurker or spammer would be better than nothing.
Being outed makes you a prime recruitment target, since it would essentially give the cult a factional kill.
That aspect of things makes the "people who can kill detector" a questionable role.

Elements would only claim vig if he had a killing role. So I doubt it if he was mafia (unless he was mafia with a specific kill in addition to the regular mafia kill), but he could be 3p or town.

This is a tactic town uses to control Serial Killers because Serial Killers are not town and are pledging allegiance to town. The likelihood that any member of the game that tells a serial killer where to shoot within is town is higher than the likelihood that the Serial Killer is town, and therefore this is an acceptable strategy.

However, this is a terrible tactic with Vigilantes, because Vigilantes know their role and know that they are town, therefore their intentions will have town's best interest in mind regardless. The likelihood that any member of the game giving the vigilante an area to shoot in is town is significantly lower than the likelihood that the vigilante is town, therefore this is not an acceptable strategy.

While this is slightly more acceptable, it still gives scum one more area in which they have a say in what town does.

As a general rule of "uninformed majority vs informed minority," minimizing the opportunity for the smaller group to execute their informational advantage is usually a pretty good idea.
