I think A50 has an enjoyment tell. Which may not be alignment indicative as much as role indicative. That said I think he has more fun rolling town with power than scum with power.

All I know is if some hypothetical Weak Hider existed in the game that they would die targeting chkflip. Now does it really matter if we dropped the subject and assumed he's a Global Miller? If he's not, then that's not so bad, is it? "Someone" will get a clear on him (if they were stupid enough to target him after I explicitly confirmed his role). If he IS a Global Miler, then all the more reasons why he should not be targeted with an investigative role to begin with.

As for me, I am treating him as the next best thing to a mid-declared IC. He's confirmed to me. I could have claimed to be

Best Friends

with him if I knew he would play along (which would have been great as it makes us both unlikely kill targets early on and

must kill

targets down the road). OK, let's say he's my best friend but I'm not his, meaning his alignment is confirmed to me but mine is not confirmed to him. Would that work for you?
