i also don't find early readlists very useful, which is why that wasn't one. making it just forced me to catch up, which was the actual purpose. but i look forward to your answer once you get back to it.

Haggle: i don't consider playing against the common grain to be difficult, necessarily. why don't you think you're good at this game? also, i answered your comment about my giving davesaz a plus one, interested in your view on me there.

One thing that I thought was weird was Dave’s freakout over my altslip because in LNT - Dave was in that game - I must have alt-slipped like with at least 7-8 different accounts and I don’t recall Dave having any reaction to it whatsoever but to one accidental alt-slip here, he gets so upset?

Because of the commentary that went along with it, I thought you were using a post by another player in another game (or yourself in another game) to say something about your role here.

Oh okay, fair. I did 100% altslip by accident but Chk was initially very angry because of a game at the time that was still ongoing, so I posted that quote here, because I was concerned about the reasons for him being initially upset with me (all related to that game, which now has ended) to possibly be affecting our interactions in this one.

I would go so far as to assume most slots have some caveat to their role power. Mods love adding conditions to the roles these days.

Pedit: work out your new scum read. Don't just resign to "I claimed doctor and hes still pushing me so he's scum." That's ALMOST lazier than you've played all game. Spend some time looking at my posts. Even just the last three or four if you don't want to actually work for it. Why am I scum beyond you don't like that I'm not aggressively (Dave ;p) running in the opposite direction.

I dunno, doctor isn’t usually used as a fake claim because it puts a target on the claimant’s back. Sure it’s possible though but not extremely common.

i have a different relationship with Almost. i know enough that asking "hello Almost, could you cool it a little" would be fairly pointless, while i've played games with you that definitely had less of it. i don't have a problem with quotes, though i personally like to cut them up or reduce their size when possible.

it's not the biggest deal, i only wanted to get that out there. i'm sorry if it seemed like i was putting you on the spot by bringing it up. i consider this discussion not related to the game, but if you would like to keep talking about it we could PM when this game concludes.

I kinda hate Haggle's push on davesaz and the slot just feels off in a way that I'm not sure how to describe, but will revisit at some point.

Is this because you have a different read on Dave or you think it's some attempted wagon redirection?

I am TRing dave although it's a pretty weak read. It felt like an attempt to redirect the wagon onto someone else and shade the entire Joan wagon.

Meta isn't disingenuous just garbage.

For instance, I protect those I like as both alignments. Some people confuse this as nice Titus=scum.

Meta can help find motivations but it's rarely cut and cry. Meta can be useful but most of the time it's just blech.
