That’s on a mech level, and he thinks GIF outing the neighborhood (which I’m actually not sure if he did or not, I thought it was nom?) is cray town.

GIF, A50, maybe DEB.

These aren’t strong, and my teammate, at least Jingle, doesn’t agree with that GIF read.

I don’t have a lot of scum reads that I’m confident in right now, which is why I’m not voting.

I’ve never talked about the A50 one, but if you look at anytime I brought him up, you can tell I was feeling it. It’s not strong, but like I said before, I’m really good at reading him. If he’s scum, I feel I’ll be sure of it pretty soon.

I'm trying to make a point about this many posts being detrimental to the game (and please honestly ask yourself - if you're Vex or volxen, which is going to make you dread reading the game more - seeing 30 extra pages of posts since you last checked the thread, or 10 pages of posts that are maybe as chunky as this one or a little bigger?)

Also, Jingle says there’s probably scum in the commute hood; we shouldn’t lynch in the commute hood.

He also said that Commute hood should holster to increase the chance they can get conf town’d, then you can perma commute that slot.

It's because we're telling new players that they need to abide by some antiquated stuff like "oh there's this thing called RVS and there's presumably a hard line to when we go out, we can totally catch scum through hyperanalyzing RVS or whatever" instead of trusting gut more

Newbies generally have a pretty decent grasp of how to play Mafia, and their instincts are pretty good. They are just newbies of the site, and maybe forum mafia.

Look at Fakran here, regardless of their alignment, they’re playing well, and they have a different style of play. People don’t try to evolve their town game. They don’t try to analyze, they just try to 1v1 and not reevaluate, or they push the surface level scum bad town play.

Town inherently can’t win a 1v1 against a scum because scum have teammates to back them up and help warp the gamestate to make the townie lose. This is a big reason, I feel that scum should always work together like a team, and that’s the main thing keeping scum players from moving forward. People always try to play the solo game, but I think the better play is to always try and work with players, even if you’re town thinking someone is scum. You can always be wrong, and it doesn’t hurt to talk about possibilities.

RCEnigma is a much stronger town player than he is a scum player, and he’s one of the main people I am forced to play around when I’m scum against him. He doesn’t engage in 1v1’s with me, and that’s why it’s so hard.

I can take down anyone in a 1v1 when I’m scum. I just can. You have teammates.

That’s what I think the good stuff to look at as town are. Why is this 1v1 happening?

Like a really notable thing in 2019 was the "greeting the thread" scumtell in Newbies. A lot of people blindly followed it and assumed the reason it worked was because they saw someone greeting the thread, not because said greeting gave them a really bad gut feeling

That’s another thing scum do wrong, they let townies fight it out long enough for the townies to realize they’re town. Sure, it can work sometimes in your favor, but I’ve literally town blocked with people I got in big arguments with.

Dave did a scummy pop in there, and like, I would never use that as the MAIN reason to push him as scum, but when you put it next to everything else he’s done, he does in fact look scummy
