You wouldn’t. I would. And I have.
Enchantress has plenty of success with this. The intro post a person is coming up with can be really telling as to what they have in mind. Poyzin wanted to make a strong appearance and be liked by people. He worked on his post, you can tell. It wasn’t something goofy that villagers usually post.-

Regardless, hey everybody! This is my first game on mafiascum, and I'm glad to be here! Do we want to ask questions right now or no? I'd be happy to answer either way.Don’t forget about how when I asked him for a link to his scumgame, he linked THIS game. - Pyrrha Nikos
He usually never puts effort into reads like that, which does sometimes get him scumread, but since he was on an alt and we didn't know his meta, I can see CL!him making reads as an exception since he knows he'll probably be scumread otherwise.

I do remember that, but how is it relevant to voting me?In post 24, dsjstr wrote:Being a somewhat fresh newb myself I wouldn't look too much into how poyzin entered. My first game on the site I was town and said something along the lines of, "I'm not going to vote for anyone today because it is Thanksgiving." I-it’s just an intro? Like I understand how RVS works, and I wanted a reason to create a circle of votes, but couldn’t find one. To answer the other question, because I still haven’t figured out multiquoting on mobile (I see the button, but it doesn’t open the reply), I DO have forum mafia experience outside of this game. I understand the importance of well-written replies, and I don’t believe that wanting to make a good first impression is something that necessarily means someone is aligned one way or another. In post 25, insomnia wrote:You wouldn’t. While I see why you may think the way you do, I don’t intend to deceive anyone. I see why a post like mine may be unexpected for a newbie game.-

In normal games, I am usually trying to make a scummy opening, nevertheless, I am lazy, so in newbie games I just post what I postdd in post 20.In post 30, Luca Blight wrote:I dislike his opening the most.Don’t forget about how when I asked him for a link to his scumgame, he linked THIS game. - Pyrrha Nikos

So you agree that you’ve worked on this post, and you’re saying you’re thinking about each of your posts like that as any alignment? Or you just don’t think it is generally AI?In post 35, Poyzin wrote:

I agree that I worked on the post, if for only 3 minutes or so to copyedit and make sure that I was communicating my intro properly. I do think about all my posts before I post them regardless of my alignment, which is why I don’t see an issue about the post in question. To answer your other question, I have played forum mafia for approximately a year and a quarter thus far, and I played in real life before that. So I’d like to think there is SOME sense in what I’m saying. In post 38, insomnia wrote:

This is my first forum mafia game. It's a little weird not getting to see people's reactions. Oh and I'm obviously town.-

Enchantress likes dsjstr's probing thus far.
She also says that she's willing to accept that if Poyzin is telling the truth, then he'll be hard to found as town because his posts go through a pre-filter, which would come off as scummy to whoever's tone reading.
In fact, she says we should probably probe into Blatant Scum for town reading Poyzin's entrance, because I think that might be a TMI read. Poyzin's post should've felt weird to most towns. It didn't to Blatant Scum, he actually read it fairly townie.
I like the dude that liked my questioning. IMASPY dude.

The obvious part was a joke, but the role card is what makes me town. I know that one post is not enough to draw conclusions about whether I am town or not.In post 40, dsjstr wrote:

I think that everyone active has posted an intro, so shall we start debating the intros/follow-up? I'll start (with some of this just restating what ornery have said)In post 27, Blatant Scum wrote:

Poyzin - Seemed innocent enough to me, but Enchantress did raise a good point about it feeling edited. I'm not sure what to think about the fact that Poyzin subsequently admitted to light editing all of their posts. The implied stutter in the post defending themselves seems forced too though.
Enchantress - Seems comfortable and has started calling out things that she sees in people. Also seems to keep an open mind about whether done behavior is just a newbie making mistakes versus mafia pretending to be new. One of my concerns is that she seemed to accept Ima purely because Ima liked their leads. If I missed something there, I'd love to hear what it was.
Blatant - Has not given much to go off of, but did seem to immediately accept Poyzin as town rather than taking it as a post to view future responses through. I would like to see more interaction from them though.
Ima - Hasn't done anything that really stands out to me yet.
Luca - Fairly brief, but his point about blatant's opening is fair. Blatant's first post avoided anything to meaningfully contribute to the conversation (although it was helpful for me, presumably Ima and anybody else who is completely new here). His next post was more charitable than it probably should have been.
dsjstr - I like that they are asking questions, even if it's about me.-
