Oh boy. At first I was going to complain about the SE's not setting Hectic straight for his trash tier posting. But then I realized he was an SE, even though he says he's quite new. Then again in my last game the SE's were the ones making all the questionable moves.

Do people typically get worse at mafia the more they play?

This is actually an interesting question. I think in terms of many things in life, this ends up being the case. Take, for example, driving: When you've just passed your test you are still very cautious and drive in the correct posture, mirror signal manouvre etc. Soon, however, bad habits start creeping in, and if you took the same test a few years later you most probably wouldn't pass. I think the same applies to Mafia.

I'm quite new, so is it okay if I lurk this game and try to learn from the more experienced people? Also, should we mass claim? It could be useful to talk about who we target in the night. I will start: I am the Town Goon. I am not allowed to target anyone in the night.

This is somehow worse than the first post of a person in my last game, which got her massively scumread and lynch-mobbed. You are playing a complete fool on purpose here. I'm guessing you are trying to get an actual vanilla townie newb to be like "hey, it shouldn't say town goon!" and then vote for you because you look like a terrible scum player who just tipped their hand. So I guess I'll go ahead and grant you your wish and vote for you because it's not supposed to say town goon.

DP is obviously either scum or not a great player. This is probably the same with Hectic. The thing is they both seem so authentically mediocre that I would be impressed with any scum managing to fake play the way they do. I'm happy with policy lynches not on D1 and definitely not on the first day of D1. I also have reason to suspect at least one of the wagoners of being mafia. This is a very common tactic that mafia use - getting town to vote for the bad players instead of scum. Analysing the wagoners on Hectic.

Interestingly in my last game the player omgusing on me in RVS stage flipped scum. Though Id say its probably non-alignment indicative (NAI)

1) Town - i prefer figuring out logic puzzles. I enjoy card and board games that involve hidden roles such as bang,

I also like mafia - bluffing can be fun, duh.. I love poker but I find prolonged deception can be stressful.

Specifically to out a town role from someone who contests you. Might make PR hunting easier somehow. No one took the bait though. I don't necessarily see it as scummy at this point in time. As for the questions:

I've literally never played town before. I've played like one game of IRL mafia with like 6 people and no power roles, and I was really good at winning that game as town, but that's technically not the same as forum mafia. Town of Salem is also not really comparable. I treat forum mafia very differently.
