Creature is a pain in the ass to read lately but I feel like he interacts with me with the goal to manipulate my read on him as scum. He's mostly avoided interacting with me outside of mech reasons like his track on bef.

If he's scum it's with chemist and not bef. +1 wherever.

If he's town chemist is town and it only confirms bef visited Chara but he's not split and hiding fruit with a partner.

I thought Dave has played pro town. I thought his early progression and thought process regarding Joan made him town outside of Joan's alignment at the time.

Specifically the assumption all hoods were town, dunno the specific post. It was an out there idea but explained his stance on Joan without him having to address it directly. Looking back, the Joan interactions aren't great.

Given Joan flipped with an alignment forced targeting role I'm doubting that the rest of the scumteam would be restricted like that. Which opens the possibility of modifiers gifted being fake claimed as well as modifiers being gifted among scum.

It would make sense with tracker as well as pt cop of renegade could also target scum. They could claim neighborizer pre- cop disable.

I think that kind of relies on scum not having safe claims though.

why not? they're factionally multitasking, which means that any individual actions they do would resolve independently of the nightkill

I don't know exactly how split would work with the nightkill but I don't see why they couldn't off-hand?

Split seems to apply to what's on your rolecard, and the factional Nightkill usually isn't included on that, that's a seperate thing. That's why scum can both do that and their normal action already.

I meant that the kill doesn't count.. as I understand Split to be a modifier given to a role that has a choice to perform one if multiple actions on its own, thus allowing it to submit 2 separate actions. Like, I only remember this example off the tip of my head

Multitasking? Scum can make the factional kill alongside their ability, but they are not inherently Multitasking.

The factional kill is separate from the split modifier.
