I feel like a modifier should be made that, when an action successfully targets a play, that player is notified that "something happened." Doesn't reveal what happened, who targeted the player, or how many players targeted the player.
Just adds that teeny tiny bit of information that could maybe be used later. Doesn't reveal alignment at all.

personally I like that modifier, I wouldn't know what to call it.
Maybe Overconfident might work, as they're sure their ability worked fine and that they don't need to try again? Though an Overconfident investigative role might be confusing flavor-wise.

Is it possible that Mafiascum could make a new section where we can play Normal games BUT trial new roles and modifiers to see how they interact, and if they could be whitelisted?
I'd like to see the modifier that's the opposite of Loud enacted.
And I was thinking a "Delayed" modifier would be neat.
Also the Neighborhood Cop should be added like now.
I think it's Reflexive Watcher, though it's not an "opposite" exactly.
"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"

can someone link me to a write up of any sort where they've explained how to balance closed setups? Mafia is played casually on my home site and the mods there have a history of making scum sided setups. If I post an example here, you lot won't be able to stop laughing. Thanks in advance!

Maybe make a thread in the open setup forum where you can post examples and we can point out the flaws?
Does your site focus as much on day play as this site?
@thesupertriomusical on Instagram, come see it if you’re in LA area, I wrote it!
Okay, I'll do that. On my site there is a philosophy problem when it comes to balance. Most think that town and scum should have equal power. e.g. - If town have cop, mafia must have godfather sorta thing.
My site puts a lot of pressure on day play.
