He then comes back later and makes these posts. At this point, Iconeum is now suddenly a leading wagon, and has been pushed up to L-1. He makes no comment on his Iconuem read, yet instead seems to be seeking alternatives to push. For example; asking people "what is the play?"
As someone who's been scumreading Iconeum the whole day and has now supposedly got what he wanted, I don't understand why he asks others "what the play is". I believe he's now in a position where he cannot defend his fellow lawbreaker since he is close to his untimely demise, and he also doesn't want to part with his #1 position on the wagon. So, instead, he avoids talking about him entirely and instead looks for alternatives.
Even his post to Luca is questioning why he's voting Iconeum, he's looking to see if there's any chance this wagon can be derailed, without making the fact he's holding out this hope evident.

I believe a vote here is the best course of action. A no-imprisonment is my second preference.

I don't think that vote makes you look better actually. That was his second last post, and the first vote on you. I don't think lawbreaker!him thinks there's any chance of you being imprisoned by voting you, I think it's last minute distancing, and after which he gave up, and stopped posting up till his hammer.

Either as a lawbreaker, he is:
1) Hoping he can actually counterwagon you with that vote.
2) Is distancing.
3) Is hoping that vote looks towny.

1) is very unlikely, considering there were other people who already had votes on them, and there were several people townreading you.
3) is also unlikely, an OMGUS isn't the best strategy to get townread in a gamestate where you're pushed up to L-1.
2) is a very real possibility.

We request that each member submit the required paperwork outlining their role within the force and the actions they have taken on our citizens. If said paperwork is not filed within an appropriate timeframe, the SVPD will be compelled to Raichu a strongly worded letter.

The SVPD does not believe The Force is operating under malicious intent. However we have difficulty imagining that the night Savior and the gunsmith are both lawful citizens. If the force is some sort of JOAT, should not coffee dealer Kanna be their primary suspect?

we didn't want to disclose what role we were just in case there's a protective with more shots out there, and the lawbreaker suspects this, since claiming VT rules us out of that pool, and makes it so there's no chance we're killed in the night over any of the other PRs/clears (us being nightkilled would be a great result)

but alas, it appears there is paranoia surrounding The Force, so we will claim and show our credentials: that being of an upstanding Vanilla Townie who is doing all they can to uphold Strawberryville's peace

Vaguely correct? There was nothing vague about it. It was obvious that Luca wasn't fully cleared. This post and your follow up come off to me as a subtle attempt at putting Luca back into pool.

It's just off to me that you went about it so indirectly.
