And yes, I imagine Alchemist backing off as I explained, I don't imagine him unvoting right at that timing.
If he wasn't backing off, he'd have to answer my questions.
He'd have to make up other reasons to scumread me.
Sure one alternative is to lurk, but I don't see that as more likely than just cutting engagement then by unvoting.
In post 1268, Dannflor wrote:I also don't know that you have enough clout behind you this game for your hard push to be super threatening.
Current clout ≠ Potential clout
For the most part Alchemist has been on the winning end of the push/response between you two.

I doubt scum gives that up arbitrarily.

But you didn't read up on how your role worked when you rolled it this game?
Nope. Check a slot. Has a gun / doesn't have a gun seemed self explanatory.

I mean, I still check the wiki for play strategy etc, and since gunsmith isn't cop I'd also wonder about false positives, blah bla

But I made the post about not giving false positives so I looked it up in case I was full of it. I didn't think GS showed up as a gun carrier.

What does he lose by conceding?
The loss of an Auro lynch?
Is that a big deal?

He wouldn't have to unvote you or even discontinue your 1v1 to get a lynch elsewhere. So it doesn't really serve a purpose.

I am curious, but I thought you wouldn't explain until I'd given Comical's identity. Should I directly ask you?

I appreciate the sentiment, but you should pretty much under no circumstances sheep my scumreads.

What's your read on my slot?
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

@dann: could've asked with variables :P, I don't recall specifics but something along the lines of if Comical was FL then stuff you town/scumread him for should be much closer to null, or something. Thanks for taking time to respond to my questions. I think that should come from a place of being co-operative town rather than respecting a player though

@SS: I like your reads and pushes and acknowledge Oka's point about your changed style but also think you'd actually tend to prefer being laid back as scum. So, town?

I mean it's not that I'm incapable of having good scumreads. It's just that a lot of times I don't, and even when I do, they're usually on people who are widely agreed to be scummy (such as unwnd and pops in TM, or STRQ and Amrun in Purgatory), so that it wouldn't be necessary to sheep me since you can just see for yourself.

Sheeping my townreads, especially my confident ones, is more reasonable since they tend to be for unusual or offbeat reasons.
