I'm not scum, and I did consider it:Query wrote:Granted, imaginality could possibly be townie. However, his hammer was based on weak reasoning, since he failed to consider a Vamp/TD ( or a imaginality/TD) combo.
I'm still not seeing why TrouserDemon would risk fake-claiming cop if Vamparific is his scumbuddy.imaginality wrote: If Query isn't scum, and if you are, and if gorckat is a townie, then you wouldn't need to fake claim cop. You and your scum buddy could just hammer him already. Especially since in that situation your scum buddy would be Vamparific, who showed no reluctance to swing by and hammer quickly yesterday.-

Assuming that TD is scum (and thus that I am a townie), there are three possibilities.
TD and gorckat are partners: gorckat voted against me, putting me a L-2. TD's fake roleclaim allowed him to put me a L-1, and (hopefully) convince a townie (imaginality, for example) to hammer. This, however, seems unlikely.
TD and Vamparific are partners: gorckat put me at L-2, and TD votes me to L-1, using the fake roleclaim to buy time until Vamparific can hammer. A fake roleclaim is the only way TD could have voted to L-1 and have it stick long enough for Vamp to hammer.
TD and imaginality are partners: same as Vamp.-

Besides, wouldn't it make sense to at least let me talk before you lynch? Hammering like that was quite foolish in a lynch or lose situation, especially because it was based on an iffy roleclaim. What's the worst that could have happened if you'd waited? There might have been a counterclaim (although I now think this setup has no cop), which would have provided useful discussion and information. Your only explanation for hammering so quickly is preventing Vamp from bussing his alledged scum partner (me). If that had happened, so what? That would still have meant a dead scum.
For the reasons above, I still think you are most likely to be scum with TD. Gorckat seems the most innocent to me. I wouldn't put it past Vamp to be scum, though.-

If I was scum, I wouldn't have much of a reason for role-claiming, as imaginality has explained.
I mean, buying time I could understand if Vamp was my scum-partner, near inactive as he is, but imaginality is a more regular poster.
If I were scum, I wouldn't rely on such a sloppy, desperate, and above all risky, tactic, as role claiming. I like to think I'd would have the foresight to have planned to synchronized hammer the first town someone else votes, in the night PMs.This sentence is a lie.

I can see considerably more reason why Query would want to keep the pretence of being townie up (if he's scum, with a scumbuddy still alive, then the more we talk, the more useful information the scumbuddy might gain) than why TrouserDemon (or gorckat for that matter) would still pretend to be townie/cop (if either of them are scum, and already won the game, there's no benefit to them in doing so except pure amusement), so I am cautiously allowing myself to become optimistic again.-

I have to say, TD, I was amazed that you kept the townie personality until the end. My efforts to argue I was town only led everyone to believe I was bitter about being lynched. So, good job on that.
My vote on Vamparific was a mistake insofar as it made gorckat vote me. Nevertheless, he was scum. He played so badly that I truly thought he was a clueless newbie. That's a lesson learned for me, I suppose.
gorckat and imaginality: I think you both played the game quite well. I see how I could appear to be scum, especially with the behaviour of my predecessor. The one mistake was the hammer vote. I really think imaginality should have given me time to talk, and possibly for someone else to counterclaim (although it seems there was no other power role).-
